FINDING DELAYED BAGS
If your bags are lost or delayed it’s important you speak to our baggage hall staff before you leave the airport, as we aren’t able to accept responsibility for delayed baggage reported to us once you have left. Important information on delayed baggage. We have baggage services staff in the baggage reclaim hall at each of the airports we fly into and Central Baggage Claims departments in the UK and the US. We are also members of the global baggage tracing system, 'WorldTracer', which links us to the baggage offices of more than 2,200 airport locations. It’s important that you give our baggage staff a good description of any delayed bags, as WorldTracer matches your description against bags that are being held at airports with no identification. As soon as your bag is located we will arrange for it to be delivered to you. (Due to local customs regulations, we regret we are unable to deliver baggage to passengers who have reported the delay of their baggage at Lagos & Delhi. Passengers are required to collect their luggage at the airport). You can check the progress of the tracking procedure by contacting our baggage services staff at the airport where your delayed bag was reported or by logging into the following website: www.virginatlantic.com/baggagetracing
In the unlikely event that your bag has not been found within 21 days after it has been reported to our airport staff, we will declare the bag lost and you may make a claim.
