Delta Air Lines

Did you know Delta are making some changes to their booking classes in First Class.  In addition there will also be a change to the earn level in E Class.

• Delta domestic booking classes will change from F, P, A and G to J, D, I and Z. 
• From 1^st December 2018 Delta E class bookings will earn 25% points.

As a Flying Club member you can earn on all Delta operated and marketed services including the flights operated by Delta regional services; Delta, Delta Shuttle, Delta regional services (Delta Connection).* Flying Club members can earn a percentage of the miles you have flown depending on the cabin you are flying in. Please see the table below for more information.

If you're a Silver or Gold Flying Club member you can earn a tier bonus on top of your flown miles. The tier bonus will be based on the total miles in each booking class. For example, if you’re flying in Z class, you will receive a total of 200% as a Red member, 260% as a Silver member and 320% as a Gold member.

Book your Delta flights directly online and remember to add your Flying Club membership number.

Earning points:

*This excludes any codeshare flights unless they are booked with a VS flight number. Points for these bookings will be credited according to the operating carrier, not the marketing carrier.

Please note: when booking a Delta Air lines marketed, Virgin Atlantic operated flight in A class, you will earn points as per Virgin Atlantic’s H class. Find out more about how many you will earn when booking this type of ticket.

Codeshare services that are marketed by Virgin Atlantic and operated by Delta Air lines also earn points. The points will be credited as per the operating carrier.

Points may only be earned on flights operated by Delta. Points earned retrospectively can only be claimed for up to 6 months after the date of travel. Points will be issued to Flying Club members when travelling in the qualifying international classes listed.

Tiers points will only apply if a flight qualifies for points.

If you're a member of one of our partner airlines' frequent flyer programmes, please note that you can only earn points in one scheme for any particular flight.

Additional points will not be earned for bookings that are subsequently upgraded to a higher class whereby an additional fare difference is paid.

When claiming points please keep all copies of your original tickets/e-tickets and boarding passes until the correct amount of points appear on your account. If the points do not show on your account within six weeks, please contact us to claim them back.

Delta reward flights start from just 7,500 Virgin Points (one way) and can be used across the entire Delta global network, including:

• UK to US direct flights
• Europe to US direct flights
• All other direct flights including US domestic

Pricing on flights from UK to US differ depending on whether you’re travelling in standard or peak season. Taxes, fees and carrier-imposed surcharges apply to all Reward flights.

For a return ticket, simply double the amount of Points.

Flying Club members can’t currently book reward seats in Delta Premium Select.

For routes outside the UK and Europe, for example within domestic US, the points needed per sector is based on the distance flown in miles.

Spending points:

All mileage is for a one way ticket excluding passenger taxes, duties, fee, charges and surcharges.
All reward flights on Delta Air Lines are subject to availability. Blackout dates may apply and certain routes may not be available.
Redemptions can only be made on Delta Air Lines operated flights including Delta Connection® services.
Rewards cannot be booked on a Delta marketed flight operated by another carrier.

Please note – New reward bookings and/or voluntary date changes are not permitted within 72 hours of departure for the below routes
