Get rewards quicker this summer with Double Miles

There’s even more reason to fly Virgin Atlantic and Delta Air Lines® with double miles on direct flights with Virgin Atlantic from Manchester to Boston or San Francisco, or from Glasgow to New York JFK with Delta between 10 July and 17 September 2017.

Fly direct to San Francisco three times a week from Manchester and to Boston twice a week with Virgin Atlantic – one of the quickest flight times to the US. And there are daily flights from Glasgow to New York JFK with Delta.

Delta earning and spending changes

We're making sure our Flying Club members are rewarded equally, whether they choose to fly Virgin Atlantic or Delta Air Lines®. From 1 September 2017, the mileage, tier points and tier bonuses your travellers earn when travelling with Delta will be the same as they’d currently earn when travelling on Virgin Atlantic.

And to make redeeming miles equal across both airlines, we’ll also be aligning our new seasonal reward fares on our transatlantic routes, giving them more choice of flights for their miles. (Your Flying Co account automatically earns 40% of the Flying Club miles your travellers earn, excluding any tier bonuses.)

All Delta Air Lines flights ticketed before the 1st September will still earn the existing mileage rates.

Your online statement - is here

We are pleased to let you know that you can now view your account statement online. You can view how many Flying Co miles your travellers have earned and view your most recent transactions in your company's Flying Co account, filter by date or description, and sort on any column. This helpful tool will allow you to make sure that no opportunity to be rewarded is missed as you review miles that have been earned and spent with us or one of our many Flying Co partners.

Logging in for the first time - setting up a password

When logging in for the first time you will need to set up a new password.

To do this, click the ’forgotten my details’ on the login screen and follow the instructions. You will be asked to enter your email address, this needs to be the one that is linked to your Flying Co account. You will then be sent a temporary password via email which will last for 2 hours.

You can use your temporary password to login and change your password to something more memorable during this time. You can then login as usual using your Flying Co number and new password.

You can have 2 authorised users on your Flying Co account. If one user changes the password, you will need to share this with the other person.

Virgin Atlantic A330 Upper Class refit

As part of our £300 million investment in our customer experience, we’ve embarked on a project to bring our Virgin Atlantic A330 Upper Class cabins more in line with our 787s.

The A330 Upper Class cabins will have the same stunning interior and a similar layout to the 787 Upper Class cabins. These will also be fitted with our latest IFE screens and interface. There’ll also be more storage space thanks to centre overhead lockers and space for hanging coats. We’re also installing our award winning mood lighting in the new A330 Upper Class cabins. The remaining A330s will be rolled out roughly one a month until early 2018.

Flying daily to Seattle

Our new daily Virgin Atlantic service between London Heathrow and Seattle launched on 26 March 2017, and is operated by our most fuel efficient aircraft, the Boeing 787 Dreamliner. We’ll be flying around 150,000 customers every year between London Heathrow and Seattle-Tacoma Airport. Customers will then be able to take connecting flights with Delta Air Lines® onto destinations such as Canada and Hawaii.

Virgin Atlantic and Flybe codeshare opens up new destinations for Scotland

From 26 March, we can seamlessly connect your flyers from Aberdeen or Edinburgh with new Flybe flights onto Virgin Atlantic flights to international destinations including US, Asia, Africa and the Middle East, thanks to the recently extended codeshare agreement between Virgin Atlantic and Flybe.

The new Flybe codeshare flights to London Heathrow will offer four services per day from Edinburgh Airport, and up to three services per day from Aberdeen Airport.

The agreement will mean customers can seamlessly connect between Flybe and Virgin Atlantic with a single check in and bag drop. It will also open up a number of new destinations for Scottish travellers.

Virgin Atlantic wins Best European airline

Virgin Atlantic is delighted to announce that it has been awarded “Best European long haul airline” by Airlineratings.com in its top 10 best airlines to fly with in 2017. According to Mr. Thomas, the editor-in-chief of airlineratings.com: “Virgin Atlantic has a rich history in pioneering long haul travel and new aircraft designs”.

Non-stop Portland

We're really pleased to announce that together with Delta we will be expanding our service between the UK and US. Our new nonstop service from London Heathrow to Portland, Oregon will be a seasonal service beginning on 26 May 2017 and will operate four times a week.

And don’t forget, if your flyers are on a Delta flight, your Flying Co account will enjoy a 40% top up on the miles they’ve flown.

New Manchester routes 2017

We’re delighted to tell you that from 28 March 2017, Virgin Atlantic will be the first carrier ever to offer a direct Manchester-San Francisco service. Operating three times weekly, the flights will connect customers in the north of England to world famous landmarks like the Golden Gate Bridge. We’re also launching a direct Manchester-Boston service twice a week, creating one of the quickest UK-US flight times.  Plus, don’t forget our other ex Manchester routes, including Atlanta, Las Vegas, Orlando, Barbados and JFK.**

These new routes give your employees more opportunities to earn and redeem your Flying Co miles.

** From 26th May Manchester – JFK will be operated by Virgin Atlantic.

Delta Air Lines ranked #1 for sixth consecutive year by Corporate Travel Managers

We are pleased to tell you that our Partner airline Delta Air Lines have earned the top overall score for the 6th consecutive year on the Business Travel News (BTN) Airline survey, sweeping all ten categories and bettering  2015 scores in each. This win celebrates the outstanding performance and industry-leading customer service Delta provide every day.

We’re excited to announce that AirHelp has just named us as the top British airline. Their role is to educate and empower travellers. When judging they looked at quality, punctuality and speed when dealing with compensation, and we were the only airline out of 78 that improved since last year. What’s more, we’ve also just been awarded Best Premium Economy Class at the prestigious Business Traveller Awards. Voted for by Business Traveller readers, beating Air New Zealand, British Airways and Qantas to win the top spot.

 

A richer onboard experience

Prepare your travellers for a 360 degree 3D surround sound experience. Using any pair of headphones, listeners can hear sounds moving from side to side, front to back and up and down. All thanks to our new audio encoding technology system. That’s one way to feel like you’re right in the heart of the action.

Virgin Atlantic and Delta co-locate at Heathrow Terminal 3

All Virgin Atlantic and Delta flights from London Heathrow now arrive and depart from Terminal 3 (T3), making travel for your colleagues easier to navigate.

Delta have transferred Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis, Salt Lake City and Philadelphia flights from Terminal 4, to join existing services to New York-JFK, Boston and Seattle, already operating from Terminal 3.

In total, Delta now operate 11 daily flights to eight US cities nonstop from Terminal 3. And both Virgin Atlantic and Delta’s summer schedules include up to 40 daily nonstop flights between North America and the UK, of which 28 operate between London Heathrow and the US. More reasons to take advantage of the partnership and maximise your Flying Co earning opportunities.

Introducing the upgrade waitlist: it makes getting your travellers’ reward seats easier.

Have you ever wanted to use Flying Co miles for an upgrade but our Premium Economy or Upper Class cabin was full? Our new waitlist service is a brilliant tool to help grab you a seat if one becomes available.

Add your travellers to a waitlist when there are no seats available to upgrade using miles. If a seat becomes available our system automatically assigns it to the first person on the list.

We’ll contact your Flying Co account administrator to share the good news.

New check in zones at JFK

We've moved check in zones in Terminal 4 at JFK to join Delta. Our Upper Class passengers will now be able to check in using Delta's exclusive Sky Priority zone. Our new zone also makes it easier for your travellers to connect between transatlantic flights and services to both domestic and international destinations on Delta's network.
