Arabian nights

Arabian hospitality is the stuff of legends. Experience it first hand during a meal at one of Dubai’s many Arabic restaurants. Cuisine from across the Middle East is available throughout the city, from traditional and modern Lebanese fare to authentic Egyptian flavours and local Emirati cuisine, often served with a side of belly dancing or live oud music.

The melting pot

Dubai’s food scene is a melting pot of global cuisines. Avoid the chains and follow resident foodies to local Indian eateries serving up authentic flavours, high-end Japanese restaurants where chefs slice raw fish with samurai swords, and South American restaurants where dishes are served alongside some of the city’s best entertainment.

Dining in the sky

Dubai doesn’t get many clouds but if it did, it would be easy to find a spot to dine above them. With hundreds of skyscrapers dominating the cityscape, take a seat at one of the city’s highest restaurants and enjoy a gourmet feast that’s on another level – if you can drag your gaze from the window, that is.

Beachside dining

As sunshine and warm temperatures are pretty much guaranteed all year round, head to one of Dubai’s beachside eateries and dip your toes in the sand as you dine. From romantic tables-for-two on the beach to food trucks slinging Mexican tacos and Southern American burgers, Dubai’s beachside dining options are unlimited.

Party capital

Dubai’s nightlife needs no introduction. Champagne lit with sparklers, bottle service, opulent clubs, world-renowned DJs behind the decks – Dubai has it all. Despite being a Muslim state, it’s the party capital of the UAE, with VIP clubs and dinner show concept venues rubbing shoulders with high-rise bars and a selection of lower-key Irish pubs.

Arabic coffee

Ever wondering how a fast-paced city like Dubai keeps going? Coffee. And a strong coffee at that. Arabic coffee is unlike coffee found anywhere else in the world. It’s so unique that there’s even a whole museum dedicated to it in Dubai. Visit a local café to sample the Emirate’s elixir of life and prepare for a pick-me-up like no other.
