Once in a lifetime: Dubai
The city of Dubai is not one to do things by half – from fantastic restaurants and bars to unique outdoor activities. Take on these unique, truly mind-blowing experiences and we promise you won’t forget your trip to this city any time soon.
When it comes to unique Dubai experiences, a trip into the desert is as memorable as they get. You’re picked up from your hotel in a four-wheel drive and driven deep into the desert where the views are as breathtaking as any we’ve seen. Test your fears on an exhilarating ‘dune bashing’ drive through the dunes to the camp where a traditional Arabic barbecue awaits. While the food cooks, enjoy activities such as camel treks across the red dunes of Margham or sandboarding, an adrenaline-inducing sport that involves being strapping on a board and ‘surfing’ down the dunes. Choose a morning trip and be back in Dubai by lunch or book an afternoon adventure and stay for an unforgettable sunset.

Ski in the Desert
Swap suntan lotion for gloves and hats and hit the powder in one of the world’s biggest indoor, real-snow slopes – it’s also the first indoor ski resort in the Middle East. There are slopes and lessons to accommodate everyone from seasoned skiers to wannabe snowboarders. There’s also a snow park if you just want to throw a few snowballs, meet the penguins or try your hand at zorbing.

Eat at the Top of the World
For the height of Dubai’s fine dining, head to At.mosphere, a restaurant and lounge on level 122 of the world’s tallest building, Burj Khalifa. We’d highly recommending getting a seat by the window and enjoying the food and the views out over the Arabian Gulf, 442 metres above the ground. It holds the Guinness World Record for the Highest Restaurant from Ground Level!

Sleep Under the Stars
To really experience the calm and quiet of the desert, spend a night out on the dunes. We like this tour because it also includes camel rides, dune bashing, belly dancing, shisha, traditional costumes, Arabic coffee, a barbecue and henna tattoos. Not to mention sleeping bags and blankets. We recommend bringing along your camera to capture the sunrise and the sunset over the desert.
