Your Advance Passenger Information
The additional information we might need from you before you can fly
This page tells you what extra information you might need to provide when you check in for certain destinations.
For security reasons, some countries require us to collect additional information from you, called Advanced Passenger Information (API). We'll need this information before you can fly.
We normally collect your Advance Passenger Information as part of the check-in process, whether that's online, at a self-service kiosk or at a counter. There's usually no need to provide your Advance Passenger Information before check in.
Your Advance Passenger Information
We'll ask for the following information when you check in:
- Full name
- Gender
- Date of birth
- Nationality
- Country of residence
- Travel document type (normally your passport)
- Travel document number
- Address of first night spent in the country (travellers to the US only)
Countries requiring Advance Passenger Information
You'll need to provide your Advance Passenger Information for the following destinations:
- All Caribbean destinations
- China
- India
- Japan
- South Africa
- United Arab Emirates
- United Kingdom
- USA
