700 islands spread over 100,000 square miles of blue sea – sound like paradise? Holidays in the Bahamas come pretty close. Steeped in culture with a rich, rum-smuggling history, the Bahamas have arguably the bluest oceans, most agreeable weather and dreamiest beaches.

Relaxing poolside (or on the white sands), getting a thrill from water sports or exploring the marine life – no two days will be the same.

A trip to The Bahamas is as easy as 1-2-3

All visitors must submit a Bahamas Travel Health Visa Trip application to enter The Bahamas. To be granted a visa all travellers over two years old need to submit either a negative COVID-19 RT PCR test certificate (unvaccinated travellers over 12 years old) or a Rapid Antigen test (vaccinated travellers and children aged 2 to 11) prior to arrival.

Just follow the steps below and be sure to read the full advice here.

Step 1

5 days pre-departure

Your pre-departure Covid-19 test must be completed by a medical professional no more than 5 days before travelling. You'll also need to submit a Travel Health Visa Application before you travel.

Step 2

On arrival

Confirmation of your Travel Health Visa application and negative PCR test results must be presented upon arrival in The Bahamas.

Explore the real Nassau

Bursting at the seams with culture and history, the island of Nassau is well worth exploring either on foot or by road. From national parks, to white-sand beaches, and not forgetting those traditional rum houses.

The Bahamas, the definition of paradise

700 islands and thousands of cays spread out over about 500 miles of turquoise water in the Atlantic ocean, starting just 50 miles southeast of the coast of Florida, and of course a whole lot of white sand beach, colourful houses and a wealth of marine life.

Dive among the natural beauty

With coral reefs galore nestled between the many islands, go beneath the surface and explore the colourful beauty. You might even be able to spot the friendly tiger sharks, elegant sting rays, or even turtles.

Rose-tinted sands

You got it, Pink Sands Beach is known for its pretty-pink hues under the Bahamian sun. What couldn’t there be to admire against the backdrop of the turquoise sea, and the warm orange glow of the sun.

Ride the slides

Get your adrenaline pumping on the waterslides at Atlantis Bahamas, Paradise Island. From the dare-devil Leap of Faith slide, to the more chilled splash pools and lazy rivers, it’s fun for all here.

The Bahamian dollar (BSD) is the national currency, and the US Dollar is also accepted in most places in the Bahamas.
