We you arrive at the hotel it is very nice. The swimming pool is right next to the main lobby. Quite nice view. After checking in, you go to your room and then realize it is an old hotel, not well maintained. The bed is really small, not enough for a couple. It looks like a widow bed size…So, the expectations we had from the nice hotel lobby…

We've stayed at this excellent hotel before, in Autumn 2003 and were pleased to be back. To be honest, we can't fault it. The staff are pleasant, friendly and efficient and always seem relaxed. The breakfast is excellent with something for everyone. There's also live piano playing. The bar is very reasonably proceed, especially when compared with the UK, and the bar meals are tasty and substantial portions. It's also handy for the V&A Waterfront and there's a return courtesy bus every hour. Both routes of the "hop on, hop of" bus service also stops close by. If you're looking for a hotel in Cape Town then we'd certainly recommend this one.
