“I had a good stay at Southern Sun The Cullinan”

Great location, especially in terms of safety and also closeness to the V&A Waterfront. The Hotel provides free shuttle service every hour, to and from A&V Waterfront, which was very convenient. I only had breakfast at the hotel, I enjoyed the buffet which included an abundant and a wide variety of foods and drinks, there was also a pianist who played the piano during breakfast which was very relaxing and added a lovely atmosphere. All hotel staff were professional and courteous, the service was great. In terms of room, I booked a single room, it was clean with a comfortable bed, and there was complementary water/coffee/tea/fruit. But, the peephole on the door did not have a shutter, so I had to tape the peephole to cover it. The bathroom was clean with towels, but there was no bath robe/bath slippers/hairdryer. There were amenities, but I did not use them, however my friends used the Spa and they were very happy with the services provided.

We had originally planned to stay close to V&A Waterfront for our week in Cape Town but our original hotel choice would need us to move rooms three times. The Cullinan was available and turned out to be a much better option . We had a fantastic room on the 15th floor with spectacular views. A beautiful room and everything was clean and well serviced. There is an hourly courtesy bus that runs between the hotel and the Waterfront and the Red and Blue Bus tours run from across the road. The breakfast is first class and the meals and drinks we had poolside in the evenings were excellent. I think we made an excellent choice.
