Sadly the beautiful location and hotel is negatively impacted by poor customer service in several areas. The facility and room are very nice and comfortable and highly recommended. However no turndown service for a hotel of this level. The front desk manager rudely denied out request for a 1 hours late checkout so we could spend over $400 in their spa. His uncaring comment was that they needed the room for incoming guests who have a checkin time of 2:00. We requested to stay unti9l noon giving them 2 hours to prepare out room. The sour attitude was the big issue however. Twice we had superb service and food at Morii in the hotel. But then inattentive and poor service at the other more casual restaurant. No smile from the hostess and a waiter who had no interest in helping us even thought there was only one other occupied table. Management really needs to have consistent service throughout and train to that level. Such potential but we would NOT stay here again and so not recommend if service is important to you.

First class, calm and attentive service. Great facilities, restaurants, gym, pool, spa. Most of all it’s in a lovely garden setting away from the hustle and bustle with local restaurants and stores short walk away. The room was well outfitted and the team here is very professional. Great breakfast and meals.

The environment is first class - under the trees with great views to the mountains. The service was also good as was the food. BUT the price of wine, as with so many restaurants nowadays, is over the top. Their entry point woine is R245. Buiten Blanc, which we buy at our local supermarket for R89, is, at The Lounge Restaurant, R295! With wine at those prices we shall, unfortunately, not be returning soon.
