The hotel

Fancourt Hotel is definitely one of South Africa’s premier hotels. Set against a dramatic mountain backdrop, rooms are split between the 150 year old Manor House, which has been completely remodelled to create a boutique hotel and the main hotel, which effortlessly combines modern luxury with traditional elegance. A golf estate – Outeniqua and Montagu 18-hole Golf Courses are two of the finest you’ll encounter – a must for any enthusiast. Meanwhile, those intent on a spot of pampering are also in for a treat. The town of George is in the middle of the Garden Route, halfway between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth. Approximately a 4 hour 30-minute drive from Cape Town.

Beautiful facilities and setting in one of the most spectacular part of South Africa. World class all over experience with some minor glitches in the room. Staff and general facilities are impressive

As always Fancourt, is a top notch resort ANY time of the year. Great Golf & Spa property. Ask for Precious at the spa, Room 528, spacious, roomy and superbly appointed. La Cantina didn't disappoint with beautiful tasty food.

We have been to some of the finest hotels in the world and this property ranks right up near or at the top. Outstanding facilities, friendly and competent staff. The rooms are spacious and clean. The golf courses are well groomed and very picturesque. Highly recommend staying at The Manor House at Fancourt.
