No AC - they don't tell you that when you book!

What they don't tell you is there is no A/C here. This deficiency applies to the entire hotel! An indifferent receptionist told me to go open a window if I was too hot.
The TV was antiquated junk and didn't work. The staff couldn't care less.
At a premium price like this, the place is a total joke. Save your money and stay elsewhere.
Probably one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed in. Room not cleaned for three days. Staff terrible. Air con broke.

Stayed here prior to boarding the Rocky Mountaineer train. First. Impression ok. It’s when you talk to reception things went down hill, they are abrupt and clearly going through the motions. I am not going to write a long diatribe here other than to say this is a dreadful hotel. It’s the first time ever in any hotel ( im 70). my room was never cleaned during my three night stay, every complaint went unanswered.
This hotel is so bad I could write for ever. However one las shout out to the two ( British ) bar staff. You should not be in hospitality. Possibly the rudest and most ignorant hotel staff ever. One of them accused me of not understanding foreign culture because I did not follow her cleaning rules. Laughable
Do not stay here

Cleanliness of Hotel

Had stayed here before some years ago, staff & cleaning a lot better then. staff this time were not friendly, cleaning in rooms was not good. Shame could be good hotel of it was looked after a bit better. Restaurant very dark could do with being a bit lighter.
All that you need.

Comfortable bed, quiet room. Window that actually opens for fresh mountain air! Plentiful hot water from the shower, and delicious clean cold water from the tap to drink. (No bottled water needed around here--the water you buy in bottles at home comes from here!) Sure, the decor is dated, but how many more sleek minimalist hotels with neutral…

Comfortable bed, quiet room. Window that actually opens for fresh mountain air! Plentiful hot water from the shower, and delicious clean cold water from the tap to drink. (No bottled water needed around here--the water you buy in bottles at home comes from here!) Sure, the decor is dated, but how many more sleek minimalist hotels with neutral tones do you really need? You are doing it wrong if you are spending time awake in a hotel in this beautiful place. Bonus that the coffee and toiletries provided with the room are from local companies, keeping money in the local community.
