I have given 5* from this however the afternoon tea was a let down, I booked for our anniversary and didnt get a seat overlooking the lake which was a huge disappointment as it seemed priorities for influences etc. Also we went for a drink in one or the other eateries and the service was atrocious we left without even starting out drinks just paid the bill and went to our room. Hotel amazing but the dining facilities are poor, that being said we will be back next year. Read less

We wanted to have a celebratory drink in the Louiza restaurant and a server took our name and said there would be a 5 minute wait for an outside table. She then went away and another server who had been standing behind her, but not party to the conversation, then started the whole process again, but said there would be a 15 minute wait as they had to set some tables. This seemed very strange as there were a number of tables already set and she then admitted they’d been told to ‘slow things down’, even though it was pretty empty mid-afternoon. We said we'd been told 5 minutes and that waiting a further 15 minutes didn't fit with our scheduled bus, and she then rather confusingly said we could have a table inside straightaway! We were already feeling that our experience wasn’t great but were then further disappointed when the drinks arrived. The mocktail was 85 % ice and I had to ask for a straw as I wouldn’t have been able to easily drink it otherwise. The mocktail was delicious but it felt like they’d run out of it, either that or they think it’s ok to serve a drink like that. Overall our experience was totally underwhelming and a big disappointment. Read less

My experience at the Fairmont Lake Louise was shockingly poor for a property that carries a luxury brand name. If not for the exceptional professionalism of the spa staff — who clearly understand what international hospitality means — this stay would have been a complete disaster. The rest of the hotel operates like a poorly run lodge rather than a world-class resort. The overall service was dismissive at best and outright disrespectful at times. It’s evident that the management team is either absent or completely disconnected from what true hospitality entails. Staff outside the spa lacked both courtesy and competence, and several guests I met — including one who suffered sleep deprivation due to a room placed right beside an active renovation zone — shared similarly negative experiences. When she approached staff about the issue, she was reportedly treated with the same indifference and rudeness many of us encountered. This hotel doesn’t function on merit — it functions on its monopoly over Lake Louise. If it weren’t for the unbeatable location, I doubt many would choose to stay here. There’s a big difference between exclusivity and entitlement, and this property seems to have confused the two. Fairmont should seriously reconsider how this hotel is being managed. It’s tarnishing the brand’s reputation and leaving international travelers with a bitter impression of what should be a Canadian icon. Read less

Our weekend at Fairmont Château Lake Louise was unforgettable. Every meal was incredible—*Louisa* and the *Lakeview Lounge* were standouts. The staff made our kids feel so welcome, and the whole property is surprisingly family-friendly while still feeling luxurious. We requested a northern lights wake-up call and were thrilled when they not only called, but Asharv personally showed the best viewing spot—such thoughtful service! Another highlight was the *mixology class* with Brock. He’s not just a bartender—he’s an artist and an amazing teacher. His passion, storytelling, and personalized tips made the class a must-do. Between the breathtaking views, world-class service, and warm, kid-friendly atmosphere, we’re already dreaming of our next visit. Five stars all around Read less
