Absolutely incredible view of Lake Louise and her glacier! All the tourists seem to want to come inside this hotel but are prohibited. Lots of high end shops in lobby and at least 4 restaurants. Some
clearly better than others. Loved Fairview but not Lakeview…We had a lake view room with the view but rooms are relatively small with a tiny bathroom. Nicely appointed. lovely little chocolates and bubbly water brought to room. Staff everywhere was incredible. Restaurants change menus regularly which confused us so review at door before you commit! We wanted the lobster roll but it was off menu suddenly. The chicken we got was disappointing. The desserts were not! I will say they take food allergies much more seriously than most restaurants. Breakfast is expensive but extensive. Didn’t care for scrambled eggs. fruit and danish were to die for. Expansive cold buffet and nice menu. Pool and hot tub area very old and was crowded with families. gym old and small. we hear plans are in place for an outdoor facility. For the price, not sure it’s worth it. So many tourists come for the day and see the same sights!

Sadly, I wish I could rate our experience better for the >$2500CAD price tag. With the exception of a few encounters, the staff at this luxury hotel is far from accommodating. I get they deal with many non guests roaming the halls and trying to get into the restaurants. However, as a guest being told I can’t have two open chairs at the bar to sit and have a drink is absurd. Also when requesting to adjust a reservation the immediate response was always a quick “No”. I get it’s summer and high season, but softening the messaging and at least trying could go a long way. Just not what should happen when you’re paying captive rates. As a comparison, the Fairmont Banff Springs has been a 180 degree difference and absolutely amazing customer service

The Chateau Lake Louise is stunning. The views are tremendous, the restaurants and service from all parties was a 10/10. BUT what was most impressive is that we left very important documents and jewelry in our safe in our room. By the next morning, the hotel staff not only found it, but shipped it overnight to the Fairmont Waterfront in Vancouver - our next hotel that were staying in. We stayed in Fairmonts for almost 2 weeks in different cities - we were very pleased with ALL of them - this staff went above and beyond. EXCELLENT choice to stay!!
