We arrived in Banff having travelled from the UK. It was easy to find and check in was simple. Staff friendly and helpful. Underground parking was a bonus and free. Location wasn’t an issue for us although it was a good 15 minutes walk from the main town. We also used the complimentary Roam pass to get to the gondola. Our room was comfortable. We had a superior room, so 2 beds. Everything was clean and the only thing that we could grumble about is how big the pillows were. Far too deep for me! Would have preferred a pod coffee machine but the filter machine was fine and at least there was a kettle! The pool area was small but clean. The pool temperature much like a hot tub, but nice to relax into. We’d stay again.

I see many reviews saying 'dated'. Rubbish..it's a lodge. It's decor is as I'd expect a lodge to be. Rustic...comfy. Spot on...I wouldn't want it 'modernised' as it simply would fit with the lodge ambience. The room was superb, quiet and comfy with an enormous bed. Everything about this hotel was perfect or 9/10. The food is superb. The staff are attentive and friendly. Super attentive and super friendly. It's a lovely hotel in a lovely town in a lovely country. I would not hesitate to stay again. In fact I can almost guarantee I will.

Hotel does not have air conditioning in rooms. Heat, yes. We were here in the late summer and the room never got below about 75-80° with two fans and window open. The first room was directly across from the pool area and strongly smelled of chlorine. They did move us to a smaller room without the chlorine stench after some discussion. They were less than accommodating about making a change. Strangely, the common areas do have air. WiFi also poor. Probably a fine place anytime other than warm weather. Would recommend staying elsewhere.
