“Don’t stay here if you like sleep”

The rooms in this hotel are lovely, however I wouldn’t recommend staying here as the one thing you buy a hotel room for is sleep and unfortunately you won’t get any here. Very disappointed after spending so much on the room. The room was located right on the main strip next to nightclub and it was noisy past 3am in the morning. The rooms aren’t soundproof it was awful.

We took our two adult kids to Vancouver for a couple days to watch some bands nearby. The Hotel Belmont was the perfect stay! We all loved the decor and that it had some personality to it rather than the same chain hotel.
The rooms very very clean and tastefully decorated. My husband and I had a king room that did come with a fridge and desk chair and was spacious enough for a downtown hotel. My kids room had two double beds but no fridge or alternative seating (if that matters to you) It was a little more tight for space but fit their needs . The boys said they had a bit more noise on there room (across the hall from us and facing street) but in the King room we heard pretty much nothing all night. We are used to lots of noise/sirens usually when staying downtown so were shocked that we did not get any of that in the King room as outside was quite busy outside both nights. The only complaint we might have would be the lighting as we found it quite dim in the room.
The bed was very comfortable with a good quality mattress. We chose this hotel as it was close to our music venue but there was also lots of walkable shops and excellent restaurants that we visited. It is an easy 7ish min walk to the Granville Skytrain as well that we took to Metrotown for some shopping.
The front desk staff were very kind on checkin and check out.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would choose to stay here again 100%.

Our room had a king bed, and after a long flight, the bed was very welcome. It was really comfortable especially the pillows.
Even though the area is very busy, the room was very quiet.
As a Brit, I found the breakfast in the adjoining Irish bar more than average. The cooked breakfast was great, there was also cereal, toast and jam, fresh fruit, yogurts and pastries. There was proper tea as well 😉
