The standard rooms here are pretty compact, but if you’re just looking for somewhere to rest your head after a night out then you won’t be disappointed. Of course, if you want that bit more space to relax, you can opt for a Superior Room or even a Junior Suite (which is perfect for a group of friends to share together!). Start your evening in the Living Room where you’ll be greeted by happy hour, hearty food options and live TV’s – there’s always a reason to end up here. And then when it’s time to up the vibe, head downstairs to the basement. A basement that you wish you had at home, here you can grab a drink, boogie on the dancefloor, or even roll a game of skeeball (that could be interesting after happy hour ey!). Whilst the hotel has everything ready for the perfect party, you’re also within touching distance of many other eclectic bars and restaurants – so no two nights need to be the same. The hotel staff have some great insider knowledge that you can tap into – whatever kind of place you’re looking for. Come day time, you’re just a stroll away from BC place where you can catch the BC Lions or Vancouver Whitecaps FC. Or take a wander through the famous Stanley Park to get some fresh air after your night on the town.

“Unique and special hotel”
Sep 22, 2025deathracer
We stayed 3 nights at the Belmont in a corner room on a high floor.
Front staff were always friendly and engaging. How so? --- even when we just walked by, if they weren't busy, they took the time to say hello or inquire if everything was OK.
The best part about this hotel for us was the room.
We had a corner room on a very high floor and we were really glad we upgraded.
The room had really nice decor and a good layout with lots of windows, thus it had a lot of natural light.
We never heard neighbors, even from the hall-way (very sound proof)
Bed comfort and linens were excellent.
The fridge was bigger than those little mini ones.
The bathroom was roomy and we appreciated the product dispensers on the wall.
The TV was high quality and was a "smart" tv with streaming services you could login to with your credentials.
There was a small round table with 2 chairs and a bench at the end of the bed, thus we were able to entertain another couple in the room (seating for 4 to 5).
To improve:
The soap (liquid) in the shower, seems to be a citrus based soap, thus it tends to burn a bit on private parts (use with caution).
Other reviewers have mentioned the area around the hotel as being risky. We never encountered any problems. The location of the hotel (for us), was quite central to walk to most of the major sights and attractions.
“Great staff, shame about the area”

Staff friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean but walls were paper thin, you could hear every cough and fart. It is also situated in a seedy part of town, lots of strip-bars and cannabis shops. Hotel was also surrounded by homeless and drug users. Will definitely not be returning to this hotel.

I had such a great stay , Thanks to the wonderful team at reception at the Belmont.
They helped with guiding me to bus pickup and recommended great restaurants.
The rooms are spotless.
Thanks again for a great stay.
