“Sagging and Upside-Down Mattresses, No Sleep at All”

We had a really disappointing stay. The king bed in our original room was extremely sunken and sagging on both sides, neither of us slept at all. We spoke with the front desk the next morning and were offered either a bed board or a room change. A board clearly wouldn’t fix a mattress that beyond worn out, so we chose to switch rooms.
In the new room, we were shocked to find that the pillow-top mattress had been flipped upside down, with the hard underside facing up, not actually meant to be slept on. At that point, after a sleepless night and having to fully repack and move rooms, we just dealt with it so we wouldn’t miss our dinner reservation at the Fairmont Pacific Rim.
Overall, the condition of the beds and mattresses was unacceptable and seriously impacted our stay. For over $200 USD a night, in hindsight, we should have just booked at the Fairmont instead. Will not be staying at any Hyatt properties in the future.
Also should be noted that this property is doing renovations thru least March 2026 which is not mentioned anywhere. Only found out about this after we had checked in and found a generic letter on the desk in our room.
Do better Hyatt.

Great location, very nice, The staff were great cleaning. Staff always made sure my room was clean. That is key for me. No issues whatsoever. I would recommend this hotel if you’re staying downtown since it’s in a great location. hotel.
