Each day had hot options aswell; always 1 breakfast meat, scrambled eggs, and a side like French toast or hash browns. Oatmeal station, waffle station, Greek yogurt parfaits, and fruit. Staff was very friendly and helpful. My husband used the gym, said it had enough for him to get by but there was young kids playing around in there which wasn’t ideal. We didn’t use the pool at all during our stay because there were so many kids we decided to avoid. Only cons I really had was 1. Lighting in the room wasn’t great ( minimal depending on what your needs are) 2. The complimentary wifi wasn’t great, laptop would freeze or loose connection periodically. I’ve been to Mexico resorts with better wifi connection Read less

In general, we found this hotel to be a very good location, with clean functional rooms, enough amenities, and pleasant staff. Overall: A good stay - we would go back. The Good Location is fairly central regardless of which direction you want to go - especially if you are willing to walk (and weather permitting). You are close to the dock at Hornby for the Aquabus to travel the inlet (say to Granville). You are about 15 minutes walk to Robson. You are close to the long and scenic seawall paths (either direction). The paths can take you to the beaches near English Bay and can continue on to Stanley Park. You are in walking distance to restaurants in Yaletown and even closer ones on Davie. We even walked to Chinatown and the areas in between. Rooms are clean, spacious and functional Breakfast is decent and variety changes slightly every day. Floors from 15 and above may have a balcony. Staff are pleasant and helpful. Nod to Cynthia at front desk and the breakfast staff. Other amenities like a small fitness room, a pool, business centre and guest laundry are available. Areas for Improvement Doors are thin with a gap underneath. We had quiet, considerate neighbours, but if you don’t, then you will hear noise. Just an observation, but there are more homeless than I recall from before. It’s every city’s issue but it was conspicuous this time Read less

Staff were friendly, room was very clean, spacious, ac worked well, bathroom even had a working fan (a rarity in hotels, in my experience). Bed and pillows were comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with many choices, from warm to cold - something for everyone - choices from scrambled eggs (and hard-boiled) to yogurt. Guests were friendly - a mixture of families with children and older people like us. Well-located, as well, about a mile south of Canada Place. An excellent bakery nearby! It is well-priced, similar or lower than nearby hotels that have much smaller rooms. While not lux like the Ritz, I'd give it 5 stars. Parking was not cheap but less expensive than a hotel I compared it with. We've stayed at this hotel before and will again. Read less

The kitchen area was well equipped with all utensils and the studio itself had everything I needed for my stay, including bathrobe, iron and ironing board. Towels were changed every other day and the housekeeping staff were pleasant and helpful. I really enjoyed the breakfast and there was always plenty to choose from. The hotel has access to a washing machine/dryer which was convenient for me and also has a swimming pool and a gym, which both looked great but I didn’t get the time to use. Hotels location is good, close to and within walking distance to the centre and all public transport links. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others Read less

We stayed here for a few weeks while our condo was being renovated. Overall our stay was good and the hotel is very clean. This hotel is located right downtown Vancouver within walking distance of transit, restaurants, the seawall etc. It’s very busy with lots of traffic at breakfast. The gym was a nice size and had a good mix of cardio and weights. We spent a pretty penny at this hotel and there were a few things to be desired: 1) a room on a higher floor with two beds as our view was of the construction site across the street (apparently higher floor rooms do not have two beds), 2) honouring the Marriott point promotion during our stay (we stayed for over 3 weeks and management would not honour the check in point promotion, 3) balconies are very dirty and not enjoyable to sit on, 3) washer/dryers were dirty and we weren’t able to use them most of our stay which was inconvenient doing laundry off site. We ended up moving to the Westin which was more our style. It was slightly more expensive but offered more value for what we were looking for. Read less
