We would highly recommend Cocos. The food, drinks and staff were all amazing. The hotel grounds are beautiful and the neighboring beaches are perfect! We stayed in the sunset view pool cottage and would highly recommend this. We watched the sunset each evening from the privacy of our own infinity pool and the views did not disappoint! Hotel grounds were well maintained and yes there is a bit of hills to walk up/down to and from the main restaurant and beach, but the unique setting of the hotel being built into a hill overlooking beautiful beaches is well worth it! We highly recommend and will be back for sure! Read less

My wife and I recently visited Cocos for our anniversary and had an outstanding time. This was our second trip after visiting a few years ago for our 20th anniversary. That trip was amazing and this one lived up to our memories. First, the property is stunning all the way around. We love the walking paths from the rooms to the restaurant, which all afford amazing tropical scenery that is well manicured and fun. The rooms are “rustic” in the sense that everything is basically made from natural materials with the rooms having a bungalow type cottage feel. However, that is what makes it luxurious yet without pretense. We cannot say enough about the sunset view pool rooms. We loved hanging on the beach until mid-afternoon and then retiring to the room to enjoy a private splash and a cocktail. The outdoor showers are also really fun. The beaches are among the best we’ve ever visited. The sand is white, the water refreshing and stunning blue, and the sunsets are gorgeous. We always had plenty of seating and beach bar service to make sure you’re enjoying yourself. We tended to each breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. For lunch, we’d stay at the beach and enjoy a sandwich, wings, or a salad from the beach grill. We loved interacting with the beach vendors and picked up a few things to bring home to our family. And the red snapper lunch we bought from Lyndon was great as always. The food was outstanding again. Cocos does a great job rotating the menu every day to keep it interesting and fresh. The cooking is top notch, beautifully presented, and we loved all of our meals. Probably the best part of Cocos is the staff. They are very good at making sure you are well taken care of. If you find something isn’t quite how you want it, we have always found them quick to find a solution and make sure you’re happy. This being our second trip, we saw many familiar faces, which we found made the experience even better the 2nd time. All of these things make for a very relaxing and refreshing experience. We will definitely be back before long to enjoy our 3rd trip to Cocos! Read less

we visited Cocos in April - was a really stunning location, great beaches, lovely room and fabulous staff...BUT......the trip was really impacted by the staff not able to manage my food allergy to tropical fruit. I checked before i booked the holiday that they could adapt the menu, i checked before we arrived and as soon as we arrived, stressed it again - and informed them it was not a food preference but a food allergy. I didnt want anything special made - just asked for tropical fruit to be omitted from meals. From Day 1 - meals continually contained ingrediants such as Mango. It made every mealtime very stressful and anxious inducing - even though i said at evey meal i had an allergy. My meal was often taken away and remade whist my husband has his. I spoke to the manager about this and still the error kept happening. This was meant to be our main holiday to relax and recharge but it did the opposite - i have never experienced this problem before when travelling so am still baffled how these errors occured. So would i recomend Cocas -yes BUT if you have allergies than NO - its not worth the stress and anxiety - and luckily i wasnt ill as i was hyper viligent at meal times but that isnt how i wanted to spend a holiday. We didn’t go in the pool as the area could do with a makeover, but the beaches more than made up for this. Housekeeping was fantastic, as was the choice of minibar and amenities in the room. Would give it a 4.5 rating if I could and would happily stay again. Read less
