We had a short stay at Blue Waters this August but were impressed by how effortlessly everything unfolded. Arrival & First Impressions - Security had our names ready at the gate and phoned ahead, so the welcome felt secure yet friendly. Check-in took barely a minute—our details were pre-filled and all we had to do was sign. Cold towels on arrival were a refreshing touch, echoed again at lunch. Setting & Atmosphere - The resort is lush, with palms and tropical foliage creating a garden-like feel around the restaurants. Fans (plus a few portable AC/humidifiers) kept the space breezy despite the Caribbean heat. Service - Every team-member—from front desk to servers—asked about allergies, which shows genuine care. Their attitude is uniformly upbeat and professional. Room (Deluxe Beachfront) - Comfortable balcony with an L-shaped daybed and thick cushions—perfect for sunrise coffee  Inside: good lighting, large mirrors, plush duvet, Nespresso machine and a decent-sized TV provided a comfortable and clean place to relax. Dining - Dinner at The Reef was a highlight—flavourful dishes in a romantic setting. Breakfast the next morning at The Palm Restaurant was an outstanding buffet with the same high-calibre service. Facilities - The floating decks, water-beds, and Hobie cats added a fun twist to beach time, and loungers come with the most comfortable extra-thick cushions both pool-side and on the beach. Bottom Line - Blue Waters delivers seamless check-in, high quality amenities, attentive service and memorable dining in a lush garden-by-the-sea setting. Can’t wait to go back! Read less

Fabulous great 10 day trip after Alevels - age ranges 18 to 60 years young. This hotel has a lovely sophisticated chill vibe, staff were all great. The room was lovely in the cove suite , kept very clean by housekeeping. The bed was huge and very comfortable with a super comfortable pillows to choose from. I have been to the Caribbean 8 times now, and this was one of the best food experiences we have had here. Lots of salads to choose from and lighter meals on offer. Wine on all inclusive package is better than most we have sampled. They do offer a decent wine list on top of all inclusive package. We took a tour with John ( head gardener) around the amazing landscaped gardens. The cocktails and mocktails were properly made and delicious. The evening entertainment were all fabulous bands and singers. It was just a bit awkward where they were set up, we didn’t feel we could see and therefore engage properly in the entertainment. We went in low season July : a lot of families chilling with cards and games in the evening. The playlist of music around the hotel is sublime , please don’t change it. Don’t hesitate to book this lovely chill Caribbean nugget. Read less

We have just returned from our third visit to Blue Waters and it didn’t disappoint. This hotel is beautiful, it has a welcoming atmosphere and beautiful décor; as soon as you step into reception you are greeted by friendly staff, a very welcome lavender scented cool towel and a cocktail. This hotel has a boutique feel to it, with amazing attention to detail. The well-tended gardens are a particular highlight, with an interesting mix of different trees and plants and beautiful flowers attracting hummingbirds, that we loved to watch. There are three main swimming pools all with fantastic views of the sea and plenty of towels and cool water available and staff will serve you drinks and food by the pool if you wish. If you stay in a suite, or house, they also have private pools and staff will make you cocktails/ mocktails by your private pools. The super friendly shop staff will blow up your kids’ inflatables and even fix their punctures! Some pools have kids splashing around having fun, others are quiet, adults only so you can chose where you want to be – or you can relax on the beach sun-loungers – in fact there is an endless array of places to relax – with sun-loungers setup in lots of locations around the resort, including small, discrete areas dotted around the gardens. Our rooms were clean and stylish with a British charm, beds comfortable and our balcony had a fantastic view of the sea with flowering bushes offering privacy. The food was great; a good choice of breakfast was available at the buffet. There are three restaurants to choose from, the REEF was offering a grill menu by the beach in the evening and staff were very accommodating to my vegetarian daughter- they presented her with a separate menu with vegetarian and gluten free options. We really can’t fault this hotel, it’s incredibly friendly, lots of staff on hand who we recognise from our previous visits, we never had to wait long for food even when the restaurants were busy. Watching the sunset, whilst dining at the Cove is particularly lovely. There was a steel band playing in the late afternoon at Veronica’s bar and pool on a few nights along with evening entertainment from a fire dancer who the kids loved and live bands playing at the bar. They have a lovely spa (with another pool with a view) which we’ve use each time; I also recommend the free canoe excursion, tea tasting and mixology which are great. Water sports are free also – I do a bit of paddle boarding and my husband and teenage children take out the Hobie Cats. They managed to capsize one this year, but were promptly rescued by the water sports team! In the sea, within the swimming area are a set of floating sun loungers and a trampoline, which the kids (and some adults!) love. We actually booked a different (equally expensive and luxurious looking) resort to try somewhere new – what a mistake - within minutes of arrival were just so disappointed (dated, unmaintained décor; poor quality, overpriced food; damaged pool; lacking any vibe) that we actually decided to move hotels to Blue Waters – something we’ve never done before - and it just felt so much better there, we all felt immediately uplifted on arrival. To be fair, the other hotel was very understanding and refunded our unused nights, so I won’t name them. However, I’m writing this review, in part, because I checked the reviews of the other hotel on our return to the UK and they just didn’t sit with our experience there, nor did some of the less complimentary ones about Blue Waters, which again just were not at all what we experienced; something felt off and so I wanted to provide a honest review. I’m sure we will be returning for a 4th visit to Blue Waters. Read less
