This massive sprawling hotel is not the place if you want a peaceful tranquil vacation. This place is really a massive casino and entertainment/luxury shopping destination that happens to have a pool, and a beach. It is loud, crowded and impersonal. It is NOT all inclusive and it is insanely expensive.
There are restaurants galore but the food is seriously lacking. The service is lovely and the staff wonderful but care and attention to meals is lacking. Conch fritters? No real chunks of conch - you get 75% fried flour batter. Burger? Substandard, cold bun and soggy with gloppy innards and no evidence of the blue cheese in the Blue Cheese Bacon Burger.
Fish Tacos? Greasy, and cold with a big disappointing lump of overcooked fish in excessive breading on a flour tortilla with gloppy sauce on top. Ramen soup from Stix? Oily broth, o recooked noodles with a big greasy chop of grilled pork on top, three pieces of bok choy and a ton of canned corn. It was BAD.
Breakfast bagel with cream cheese and lox? Bagel was cold and stale, with a stingy suggestion of a schmear of cream cheese. Meh. And the prices????? insane. The breakfast buffet which is decent is 50 USD. You get the idea.
The room is fine. It’s just a room and things work. You do get a little fridge, and a Keurig coffee maker with pods - and nothing else.
I’d not stay here again willingly. The beach is beautiful but the place isn’t worth the cost, IMO.

Best experience ever at the reflections pool- what made it the best was the excellent service provided by Felicia and the assistant manager Saniya. They made sure that we had absolutely everything making our pool day at the Baha Mar one of the best! Thank you!!
Cabanas worth it!

Baha Mar is a BIG resort. I had read they had golf carts for those with mobility issues, but there were none. Just scooters or wheelchairs for rent. Stairs would make both hard to use.

Staff were exceptional. Cameron set us up at our cabana with no complaints with our never ending requests. Felicia was exceptional at our cabana. She was always checking in and seeing if we needed anything. Assistant manager Santoya came by to make sure everything was good and let us know about lunch specials. The food was good—and great deals! Overall, I would definitely rent a cabana again.

Grand Hyatt has been an awesome experience! Staff is friendly and helpful. Always smiling! The Palms was the best Jerk Chicken I have had. Geo was an awesome server and Santoya actually sat with us and gave us a personal touch experience which was amazing and unheard of at other resorts. Highly recommend!!
