Enjoyed all the staff at this resort! Kind, responsive and helped whenever there were any issues (all small). Special shout out to Tyesha, who helped me with my checkout and was super helpful and professional. All with a smile. 😀

This was a family trip with 2 boys ages 12 and 13. First, let me say we did have a great time, resort is beautiful and the staff for the most part was very helpful and friendly. Ignoring value, it would be rated higher. Beaches are great with awesome little snorkeling area for the kids. The water park is awesome to have as well...my boys can't sit still so love having this as an option for an activity. Only complaint on water park was the rental of chairs for the pools there. We booked our days months in advance and of course they didn't have us down. They did get us chairs but both days we ended up in the corner with a pile of ants all over us. You shouldn't have that when paying 150 per chair. I will say the first day the manager took care of the situation and moved us. The only other issue here is they need to be more clear on how the charge actually works for the food and chairs. We were charged diff both days and still don't understand why.
Rooms at the Hyatt were good, nothing special but I also don't need much from a hotel room. My one complaint with the rooms is there are only two drawers for clothes. You have a family of 4 there for a week and nowhere to unpack...this is a simple fix.
Now, the main reason for the lower rating. It is so ridiculously OVERPRICED you can't even really enjoy yourself. For a family of 4, we couldn't even eat a normal breakfast without spending $200. I'm talking eggs and bacon kind of normal. Our dinner at the steak house was over $500 and we didn't have an app, dessert or alcohol. They charged us for bread and never mentioned it wasn't complementary. The food at all the restaurants was really good, but we left hungry every single meal...that just shouldn't happen when spending 300-500 on a meal.
I normally don't leave reviews but feel like people should know what they are walking into. Beautiful resort, great beaches and pools, good staff, good food, but no chance you get what you pay for. We sadly won't go back...too many really great places that are actually reasonable.

The BahaMar was overall a good trip. The resort is clean, spacious, and beautiful to the eye. The highlights of the resort is the easy access to the beautiful clean beach, waterpark, casino and nighttime activities. My personal interactions with the staff were below standard. General managment should provide hospitality training for all staff members. The majority of them had caddy and unpleasant attitudes. Lastly, the resort offers multiple food options. However, the food was subpar with a hefty bill. I loved the BahaMar for the resort itself, but my trip was slightly tainted because of the negative experiences with the staff. I would recommend for others to travel, and hopefully they will encounter a brighter, happier and more responsive staff.
