I regret to say that I would not return to the Accra Beach Hotel, which is truly unfortunate. I have always loved this hotel, but the standards have significantly declined. Management seems indifferent, and the hotel appears quite shabby considering the cost of staying there. Upon arrival, the room I had booked and paid for, which included a balcony for my 80-year-old mother with limited mobility, was unavailable because the hotel was full. Despite informing the hotel about my mother's mobility issues and the necessity of a room with a balcony, we were given a room without one. Additionally, I had mentioned that a functioning lift was essential for my mother, but I did not anticipate that the lifts would be out of order. There was no porter available to assist us with our luggage, so my mother and I struggled to drag our cases to the lift, only to find it was not working. This was extremely frustrating. We were directed to another lift, which felt like another long trek. Thankfully, a couple of tourists noticed my mother's struggle and helped us. Once we reached the second floor, it was another trek to find our room, with no hotel staff around to assist us. Walking along the corridors we saw cutlery, empty glasses, and other items were left outside doors, and no one came to remove them. The hotel looked dirty and unkempt. The next day, after much discussion, we were moved to a room with a balcony but the lift nearest to our room was out of order all week! By the end of our week-long stay, our room had still not been cleaned, and I had to request clean towels. I went to reception to provide feedback about our unclean room, but overall, it was a huge disappointment. I had hoped to give my mother a pleasant experience, but we were both left very disappointed. I felt sad for my mother she needed a break but unfortunately, at times it became quiet stressful. I have sent two emails to the hotel providing feedback on our experience, but I have received no response, which further proves that the management is not interested in customer service and does not care about their guests. Start with the good, great location, stunning beach, large rooms. Staff most are generally very helpful, a few act like they really don’t want to be there. The pool was never cleaned during my stay, infact I don’t think it’s been cleaned in a very long time, you can see the green residue building up on the tiles. The area around the pool wasn’t kept clean either, same as beach, minimum effort to keep it clean. Lots of building work going on adjacent to the pool, noisy, dusty and not great. No warning of this. The rooms are spacious and well equipped, but very dated, the shower took forever to get warm, the water pressure was useless. The maid did a fab job of cleaning the room. Air con is pretty useless. Don’t leave your balcony open, the birds just wander in. Was visiting for some music events and a lot of the acts were staying at Accra, which was fab to see them. The downside was due to the events, some people partied in the corridors all night, if you want peace and quiet. You won’t find it at Accra. Read less

Only good thing is the beach location. Poorly maintained. My AC didn’t work. Other problems for my friends. Extremely slow check in for a group. Unfriendly staff. Very large hotel. Noisy in the halls etc. I could see out into the hall through the space between door and frame
