About as ‘seaside’ as you can get, the Blades family have called this sand-hugging spot home for more than four decades. And they chose a pretty perfect beach for their hotel — which is probably why hundreds of Hawksbill marine turtles call it home too. As you’re here for the beach, the Blades have made sure you’re never far from it, whether you’re lazing on the free loungers, watching moonlight movies on the sands, soaking in the seafront pool, sipping frozen cocktails at the beach bar, or lingering over candlelit suppers at Coco's. The beach itself is lined with beautiful trees to provide natural shelter from the Caribbean rays, so those that don't wish to worship the sun need not worry. It’s not just by the beach though — it’s also steps from South Coast Boardwalk which links you to an array of shops, restaurants and Rockley Beach. The hotel also features an open air restaurant overlooking the white sand beach. Above all else, do not forget to savour a Pirate Punch during one of the several 'happy hours' each day — a traditional Blades family recipe with a twist!

“Tale of two halves - beautiful location with major hot water supply issues”

Really conflicted about this hotel. I really wanted to like it but it became like something out of a comedy. Guests I spoke to on my first day were calling it Fawlty Towers which is such a shame because the beachside location is perfect and if you like to watch a sunset, then wow, wow, wow. The whole site including the beach is very tidy and clean. We went B&B and the breakfasts were ample with a good choice. The food was tasty and we ate in the restaurant on a few occasions during our stay, we did the Carribean and Seafood evening and the service and quality of food was good. Now the not so good: We had no hot water in our room for the 10 days that we were there. I had read other reviews about this and thought it can't be that bad, surely they can't leave you with no hot water. I was wrong, they can and they did along with the 'fawlty towers' guests. The hotel staff and owners say all the right things and give platitudes about how they are trying to get it fixed, however this borders on dishonest behaviour when they know there have been issues for a while with a certain number of rooms, place guests in them and then act surprised when you tell them. I know this happens because the first time I reported the issue they acted surprised, however the room cleaner told me it was an ongoing problem that they were aware of. Secondly, they were looking to see if I could be moved rooms, however I would have to vacate the room at 11am to allow for full clean of the room for the next guest to use who was coming that day. They knowingly are putting guests in rooms that have this problem. I spoke to other holiday makers there who were having similar issues and they too were getting nowhere with getting hot water. One guest summed it up perfectly, the okie cokie shower, you put one arm in and one arm out and then the legs to not get cold. I understood that the hotel was full but be upfront with your guests about the situation when checking in. This is a deliberate action to not tell guests when they arrive. We had all gone with Tui and the Tui rep wasn't able to do anything. They said just keep reporting it to reception which we did. Tui should not be placing guests at this hotel whilst this issue is ongoing. Now you might say well it is just water, however not being able to wash hair means not going in the pool or the sea so this has a knock on effect for the enjoyment of the holiday. We ended up feeling like no one cared, one maintenance person told me they dont know how to fix it. Then the owners should put guests first and not book out the rooms until they are fixed not just a dishonest sorry which came to mean nothing. The hotel managers talk about this being a family values hotel, where are the values in not helping your guests with hot water. Just taking our money. They came across like they were not bothered. I have read some reviews about staff rudeness and we did have this from a few. This is a shame because the majority are friendly and the rude ones do let the side down a little. When I say rude, a few times when sitting at the beach bar in the day to make an order the staff would ignore you, it came across like they just wanted you to go away, which we did on a couple of occasions and didn't bother eating and drinking there. If you are due to stay at this hotel, my advice would be check your water supply before unpacking and ask to move rooms if there are problems. Or contact your travel company before going to check on the situation.

This is a lovely hotel with its own beach with natural shade provided by the beautiful trees. The rooms are large with balcony overlooking the sea and a huge bed! Staff are friendly and can’t do enough for you, all the food in the hotel was of a good standard. It’s situated on the south side of the island so perfect for visiting all areas .

Coconut Court surpassed our expectations. A family owned hotel, they’ve created a welcoming environment and offer everything you could need for a fantastic memorable holiday. We’ll definitely return!! Location: beachfront with plenty of loungers available at all times of the day. No need to play silly ‘reserve beds’ games because you’ll never struggle to find a spot. There aren’t any umbrellas on the beach but the stunning palm trees dotted along, offer ample shade. You can snorkel here and see plenty. You can also walk the short distance to Carlisle Bay and swim out to the shipwrecks where you’ll see turtles. Advice: get there early to avoid the boat trips. Can’t comment on the pool because we’re beach people but it looked inviting & had plenty of loungers & umberellas availability and views of the sea. Room: Deluxe Ocean Front room didn’t disappoint. The view was stunning and we watched many sunsets from the balcony with a Banks or 2. Rooms were cleaned daily. Bathroom was modern & the shower powerful. It had a kitchenette but we only used it for a morning coffee. Beach towels are provided. Food: we had breakfast daily, there’s a wide variety of options to select from the menu, it’s all cooked fresh & the portions are healthy. It certainly sets you up for the day. Lunch at Captains Charlie beach bar was convenient, value for money & tasty. Don’t miss happy hour 4-6! Coconut Court Hotel has a small shop selling essentials, which we used several times. South Mart shop is also opposite but we found it expensive
