Coconut Court Beach Hotel

The hotel

About as ‘seaside’ as you can get, the Blades family have called this sand-hugging spot home for more than four decades. And they chose a pretty perfect beach for their hotel — which is probably why hundreds of Hawksbill marine turtles call it home too. As you’re here for the beach, the Blades have made sure you’re never far from it, whether you’re lazing on the free loungers, watching moonlight movies on the sands, soaking in the seafront pool and whirlpool, sipping frozen cocktails at the beach bar, or lingering over candlelit suppers at Coco's. The beach itself is lined with beautiful trees to provide natural shelter from the Caribbean rays, so those that don't wish to worship the sun need not worry. It’s not just by the beach though — it’s also steps from South Coast Boardwalk which links you to an array of shops, restaurants and Rockley Beach. The hotel also features an open air restaurant overlooking the white sand beach. Above all else, do not forget to savour a Pirate Punch during one of the several 'happy hours' each day — a traditional Blades family recipe with a twist!

I stayed at this hotel and had one of the best and most heartwarming experiences. At the first leg of my travel, I experienced some difficulties but due to the friendly and professional manager and staff, I was helped and treated so respectfully and courteously that I felt comforted and well cared for as a guest. I am forever grateful to them and will make this my vacation spot when visiting the beautiful island of Barbados. The hotel is kept clean and organized. There are many amenities that are essential for travellers. We were able to enjoy great food and views. Everything you need is was close by. Whether it is a short bus ride to the capital city or places within walking distance. It was all quite accessible and easy. What makes this hotel so well liked is definitely it's people. The management and staff are always friendly, helpful and wonderful people who went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. This above all combined with the hotel's views and convenience has given me a stay I will never forget. Big thanks and shout out to the manager and especially Elizabeth our front desk clerk. It was my first time here and it without a doubt won't be my last. Read less

Nice for the relative price compared to other hotels in the area. It is a 3* that is clean and centrally located. The pool could be compared to a motel pool. The rooms are pretty basic but clean. It is in walking distance to a lot of bars and restaurants and the boardwalk. One gripe I have is no fan in the bathroom. You need to take a shower after… Read more

This place is ideal if you are looking for a beachfront hotel. It is situated by a decent sized stretch of sand. (Direct access via a few steps) The sea can be a little lively at times. Bring beach shoes as quite rocky in places. We stayed nine nights, not really long enough to take in all that this beautiful island has to offer! The room (deluxe ocean view) was large and had had a king size bed. The hotel did provide a mattress topper as the first night we were very uncomfortable. There is a small kitchen area, a safe, lots of wardrobe space and a full length mirror. The bathroom has a lovely walk in shower. Get an ocean view balcony! Unforgettable views! The breakfasts were ok. Not a lot of choice for plant based diets. I had toast or rolls most mornings . My husband had granola. We felt it expensive (£22 pp I think we paid) so £396 for 9 nights. The pool is small, but refreshing. No problems with getting a sun lounger. The bar area was a nice place to chill with a cocktail. I just didn’t like the coloured plastic tumblers they served our drinks in. We had lunch in the beach side restaurant a couple of times and it was so relaxing! Food was pretty good. The setting was idyllic and I miss that part of our holiday a lot! They have evening entertainment here too. We were out most evenings though. We used the ZR buses to get around. The bus stop is just outside the hotel. So convenient. We loved the location! We went into St Lawrence gap, and had meals at Cocktail Kitchen, mimosas and Castaways. All really tasty food. Also recommend Little Arches and Champers for a romantic meal. Just gorgeous! We hired a car and visited The Animal Flower Cave . They have a restaurant overlooking the ocean which was simply amazing! We also went to sandy lane and Paynes Bay. The sea bed drops very steeply as you enter the sea! Be very careful! We bought lunch at Masseys and ate it on our hotel balcony, Do take some Bajan dollars for taxis . Hotel has no lift. Recommend for an idyllic and chilled out holiday! Read less

Our requests before we arrived for a deluxe oceanview were not honored or offered at a rate. Renovations happening to walkway down to pool we were not made aware of before arrival, which meant we had to walk 96 stairs from our room just to get to pool(one way) several times a day. Also no entertainment or managers cocktail party as we read on their site. We loved Barbados and all we did and saw. Love the people. Read less

(see our view attached). All staff were superb (Reception, Bar, Restaurant, Housekeeping & Hadfield the Security Officer etc.,) The hotel is served by good transport communications, essential if one wishes to visit other parts of this beautiful island. If one doesn't wish to venture too far, the hotel offers 3 x resturants offering tasty, well portioned food, accompanied by an excellent range of drinks. We wish to thank Sarafina especially for providing drinks in the evenings (and her colleagues), she was an absolute star! We'll be back! Read less
