This small resort is split into two hotels and occupies 300 ft of south coast beachfront. It doesn't matter which hotel you stay in, as you are free to use the facilities at both. This means you can enjoy two swimming pools, an oceanfront restaurant and, of course, a selection of complimentary non-motorised water sports along the lovely white sand beach. Coral Mist and Blue Orchids Hotels have the added advantage of being only a 5-minute drive from the shops, bars and restaurants of the lively St Lawrence Gap.

All studios with ocean views, balcony/terrace, air-conditioning, cable TV, WiFi access*, clock radio, telephone, coffee-maker, kitchenette, shower, hairdryer and iron and board. Studio Rooms have twin beds or 1 king-size bed on request, sleeping maximum 3 adults or 2 adults and 1 child (with extra bed, on request).

“Great stay at Coral Mist”

Just back from a wonderful week in our 2 bed, 2 bath suite at CM. There were only two of us, so we had plenty of room, but the suite would comfortably accommodate a group of 4 adults. The hotel was a little dated in terms of decor, but is well maintained and rooms were clean and looked freshly painted. Bed was very comfortable, loads of clothes hangers and shelves, A/C worked great, kitchen was big, easy chairs were comfortable, view from balcony was amazing, TV had full array of channels including HBO, ABC, CBS, NBC, BBC etc. You could hear street noise in the living area but King bedroom at back was quite. The tap water was fine for drinking - just keep a container in the fridge. How water was a bit spotty, one or two evening showers were just luke warm but it was always hot in the morning. Parking is restricted but we had no problem with our rental car. If necessary, you can park at the Starbucks across the street. Staff were very friendly, cheerful, courteous and professional. Room was made up whenever requested by the tag on the door. Reggie spent a good portion of the morning calling around to get the best deal on a car rental for us. Lunch at the restaurant made for a great mid day break from the beach and is also open for breakfast and dinner. Beach was fabulous. The hotel is located on the best section of the beach. We never failed to get a pair of loungers, cushions and umbrella. There were usually a couple of spares that could be put up if the rest were occupied.. Waves at the beach are quite 'invigorating' to say the least. You need to get in and out quickly up to chest deep to avoid being hit by the breakers. Just don't turn your back to the waves and be aware of a slight left to right current that can drift you slowly towards the rocks in front of Blue Coral. Not really suitable for children. Plenty of great dining options nearby. Two minute walk to Champers which is a 'must go' at least once (reservations a must). New restaurant Uva across the street beside the Starbucks is an innovative 'small plate' cocktail place. Seven minute walk to the food truck Food Court is another 'must go' and great place for a variety of great cheap eats. Five minutes on the bus to dozens of options at The Gap. Highly recommended Tapas, Salt, Narma and several fast food and take out places within 15 minute walk in the other direction. Blue Orchids Beach Hotel is a Sister property. The buildings are identical in design but BO has a different composition of studios, one one and two bedroom suites. Both hotels share the beach and facilities. If you are a 5 star Hilton type of person you may not find CM up to your expectations, but it had everything we were looking for and didn't disappoint us. We loved our stay at Coral Mist and are already making plans to go back next year.

Really friendly staff. Very helpful and kind manager. Two pools (both a decent size with a decent depth) absolutely amazing beachfront views. A clear view of the sunset. Just spectacular and stunning views on the balconies.

We have recently returned from a 2 week stay at the Wonderful Coral Mist Hotel. 20th December - 6th January. My Husband and I with our Daughter and 2 Granddaughters age 13 and 11. I had booked a 1 bedroom Deluxe Apartment for us and a 2 Bedroom Apartment for the girls. On arrival we were warmly Greeted and welcomed by Chanel the Lovely Lady on reception, who then informed me that our 1 bedroom Apartment had been upgraded to the 1 Bedroom Penthouse Suite. On entering our Daughters 2 Bedroom suite we were Delighted, Our 1st impression was how immaculate clean it was. The Balcony has the most Amazing view over the Caribbean Ocean, the Apartment was fully equipped, 2 Large bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms , Living room and a fully equipped Kitchen, we then went to our upgraded 1 Bedroom Apartment, we were blown away by the most Amazing View. The Beach was Stunning.The Balcony was massive, The Apartment was spotless and very large. Everything you needed for a great stay was provided. The Air con was throughout , and worked a dream. . We Have visited Barbados 15 Times over the years, staying in Various Hotels and Locations, The Coral Mist certainly has one of the best Beaches, Never Crowded, Beautiful Sand, Crystal Clear waters, Plenty of Sun beds, and not a Jet Ski in sight. This is an intimate Lovely Family run Hotel, and it clearly shows, The Staff are Amazing, and work so hard Maintaining the Hotel and Pretty Grounds. A lovely little place to Gather is Oceans Courtyard Restaurant, which is part of the Hotel. Its Run by the Wonderful Lady Tabby along with he 2 Brilliant Sons, Rata & Toriso, Cocktails & Mocktails are Wonderful, as is the Food, My Daughter is Vegetarian and always Had something nice to eat here. As did we. Thanks Chef. The Service was impeccable and we were treated like a Guest in their home, nothing was too much trouble. a lovely Addition to the Hotel. On Christmas Morning, every Guest received a Beautiful Christmas Stocking Filled with Christmas treats hung on our door from Coral Mist Staff, what a wonderful kind surprise that was for us all. Little things mean a lot. The Apartments were serviced every day to a really high standard, Even Christmas Day & New Years Day, our housekeeping Lady Deborah was Amazing,always had a smile and a little chat, as did all the Staff. The Coral Mist has just had a Soft refurb, and are constantly Maintaining the Hotel, I heard a couple of people Griping about a few flakes of paint on the Exteria of the Building, The Hotel is in a constant battle with the Elements due to its proximity to the Ocean, this is purely Aesthetic and a work in progress, and did not phase us at all, look beyond that and you will see the Real Beauty of the Location, Beach and Amazing Bajan Welcome. The Staff here all do an Amazing Job, Chanel, Tisha, Ground Staff and the Lovely Reception Staff. The Coral Mist is a Wonderful Family run Hotel, Fabulous Location, The Best Beach, All amenity's, Spotless Clean, safe and extremely welcoming. Would I recommend ? Absolutely!!!!! You will not be disappointed. Would we return ? 100% Guaranteed. We will defiantly return, it's our New number 1 Hotel in Barbados. Thank you all at the Coral Mist for a Wonderful Holiday and Hospitality that Made our Family Christmas and New Year so Special.XX
