We did not realise that we had to pay extra for breakfast which we felt was sneaky. My daughter used conference room for one early morning to sit her online postgraduate medical examination. We were charged for that. This somewhat spoilt our fun. If you are staying at this hotel, watch out for hidden breakfast charges.. In summary, we enjoyed our stay for a week due to its nice location, clean swimming pool, cleanliness and beautiful views from balcony. However, it is expensive and the hidden costs, without considering the local taxes, will pinch your wallet.

There's less of a beach there than promotional photos suggest, but that wasn't too much of an issue as Dover Beach is a short walk away, and other beaches such as Carlisle Bay can easily be reached via hire car or ZR taxis. It's not luxury, but it is very comfortable. Best thing about Rostrevor is the lovely staff (be it reception, bar or housekeeping), they are a real asset to the hotel. Would definitely go again.
