The hotel

Oozing island charm, this beauty has just 79 rooms but packs in plenty of reasons as to why it deserves a visit. Inspired by its stunning waterfront location, just a stroll from the heart of St Lawrence Gap with its great bars, restaurants and nightlife, Rostrevor Hotel features just enough turquoise touches to remind you the ocean’s right outside — in fact, every guest room looks out over it. If you want to get even closer, the swimming pool sits a few mere metres from the ocean, on a bluff-like perch that creates absorbing views as you swim and sunbathe. An equally alluring sunbathing spot, the secluded sands of Rostrevor Beach fringe the hotel. The pool’s paired with one of the hotel’s two eateries, the Almond Tree Pool Bar, so you can dine in casual comfort during the day, before heading to the other restaurant, The Harlequin, for International food with Caribbean flair for a delicious evening meal.

We had to leave our AirBNB due to some issues of the villa we were staying at. We needed a place to stay for the remainder of our trip. Full kitchen. It was AWESOME. Beautiful views, wrap around porch. Pool was large with plenty of seating. The breakfast/lunch spot was decent! Beautiful views of the water. And easy access to restaurants and bars. Place was also VERY clean-housekeeping was great. AC worked beautifully. Full fridge/freezer space. There is also laundry on site. We will be staying here again when we return in a few years. THANK YOU! Read less

Second visit to the Rostrevor Hotel. Repeat visit because it met all our requirements first time and didn't disappoint for second visit. Located on a vibrant part of St Lawrence Gap, but the seafront of the hotel serves as an oasis of calm when you want to retreat from the busy bars and restaurants. There's less of a beach there than promotional photos suggest, but that wasn't too much of an issue as Dover Beach is a short walk away, and other beaches such as Carlisle Bay can easily be reached via hire car or ZR taxis. It's not luxury, but it is very comfortable. Best thing about Rostrevor is the lovely staff (be it reception, bar or housekeeping), they are a real asset to the hotel. Would definitely go again. I stayed at Rostrevor Barbados for a couple of nights before transferring to The Crane for a week, and I found myself wishing I could have stayed longer at Rostrevor. The staff at reception and the luggage attendants were exceptionally friendly and helpful, providing a welcoming atmosphere from the moment I arrived. The restaurant’s pizza was both delicious and reasonably priced, making for a pleasant dining experience. The ocean view from the balcony was truly stunning and one of the highlights of my stay. The only minor drawback was that the bathroom could benefit from a fresh coat of paint to enhance its appearance. Tip: I highly recommend booking an oceanfront room—it is well worth the additional cost for the breathtaking views. Read less

Not a problem as there is so many amazing beaches locally that we easily got to using the public mini buses. We had a room on 4th floor with sea view. Room was spacious and the maid did a fantastic job everyday. Great location to all the surrounding bars and restaurants. And a great base to explore barbados from. However the biggest problem is the noise especially on a Friday and Saturday night as there is a nightclub directly opposite the hotel. It is ridiculously noisy until 3am. Thankfully it was only on the weekend otherwise it would of been unbearable. Read less
