“Noisy - don't expect a peaceful night of sleep”

The hotel itself is OK - has the basic amenities you need and easy walk to local restaurants/beaches. A little tired in places, particularly the bathroom, which is very small in comparison to the rest of the room. My big issue was noise. The walls are paper thin and the bar opposite plays karaoke at loud volume until the early hours. I do not go on holiday to listen to Sweet Caroline tunelessly blaring out all night. Appreciate this is not directly owned by Rostrevor, but you need to sort it out for the benefit of your guests. My stay was not restful.

Our second visit to the Rostrevor Hotel and we love it! Stayed in a One Bedroom Oceanfront Suite which was ok...a bit tired...but with views to die for it didnt really matter. Pillows were bloody awful though, they need replacing. Comfy beds. Friendly staff. A couple of negatives....by 6.30-7am (every morning)...sunbeds were taken by the guests (mainly English). Cant blame the Germans this time! Location wise, this hotel is in a prime position with lots going on. Noise was not an issue at all but be prepared for Sunday evenings Karaoke night in the Rum Shop/Bar opposite hotel!!! Drunk women thinking theyre Celine Dion on the microphone. That was NOISY but very funny to listen to all the same. Music finished by 12am so wasnt a problem. Will definately return next year.

Miserable staff especially in almond tree. Check in was quick . Hotel needs updating Steps outside can become very slippery when it’s has rained . Common areas are clean. I feel the room we stayed in needs a deep clean shower curtains aren’t hygienic. I had to make one for the beds up myself where the staff had just placed the bedding on the sofa . There is no beach here pictures show a beach very misleading,there are steps down to the very small sand where you can’t sit as the sea comes right up and is always very rough . We flew with Virgin Atlantic who recommended this hotel to us with children and we were very misled . Rooms are very noisy with music if you like your sleep or have young children this hotel is not for you. I would not return to this hotel .
