“Sunbay Hotel: Comfortable, Affordable & Convenient”

Stayed at Sunbay Hotel Barbados and it was a pretty easy, comfortable stay overall, nothing too fancy but it does the job well and feels safe and relaxed. Hotel is cozy, clean, and secure, breakfast was actually really good, staff were nice and accommodating, pool was refreshing and the lobby has decent seating if you just want to chill, everything was kept clean and water pressure was good too, it’s also very affordable and close to most things, I’d probably stay again if I’m back on the island, they’ve got a bar and balconies which is a nice bonus, only thing is it could use a bit of updating in terms of furniture and maybe some live entertainment to make it more lively, but the bed was really comfortable so no complaints there. “Dated Hotel With Poor Dining and Comfort Issues”

I’ve stayed at Sun Bay Hotel several times for business, and overall the experience remains quite average. The hotel is noticeably dated and really needs repairs and upgrades to reach a higher standard. Service is fine, but nothing stands out. The restaurant continues to be the weakest part of the stay. Breakfast is acceptable, but dinner has consistently been very poor. During every visit, I ended up going to nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner because the on‑site dining simply isn’t good. It’s also important to note that the hotel does not have its own beach. You need to walk roughly 100 metres to reach the nearest one, which may be inconvenient for anyone expecting direct beachfront access. Additionally, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for families with children. The furniture is very old and quite primitive, and the bed is not comfortable. Overall comfort is lacking, especially for longer stays or for guests who need a more modern, family‑friendly environment. For short business trips, the hotel is manageable, but I wouldn’t choose it for personal travel or leisure.

“Change the management and most of the staff or just close down the hotel”

Stayed for a week with my family.First impression is that every member of staff I met was not very happy and even rude. Room was large, a bit run down and could do with a a makeover and a deep clean. Breakfast was just ok but again why are the staff so miserable. Both pools were okay, sun beds not very comfortable but plenty to go around. Bar was okay when it was actually open. Lovely beach just across the road through a few bushes . Would not stay here again even at half the price, STAFF AND MORE IMPORTANTLY THE MANAGEMENT NEEDS TO GO and actually get a job they enjoy.
