Ideally located on the south coast of Barbados, in the vibrant St. Lawrence Gap area, is the budget-friendly Time Out Hotel. Famed for its prime location you are steps away from the beautiful Dover Beach and next to Dover playing field - great if you fancy getting involved in a game of football with the locals, or joining in with any festivities during your holiday. Offering 76 rooms, you'll also find a bar, a restaurant, and a pool on the property, but what really impresses us is the friendly service and the genuine island warmth the minute you walk through the door.

76 rooms on 3 floors in 2 buildings, with no lifts. All rooms have air-conditioning, flat-screen cable TV, mini-fridge (not stocked), kettle, safe, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer (some amenities are on request). All rooms feature a shower only. Standard Rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the hotel, facing the courtyard and Dover Playing field, with either 1 double bed or 2 twin beds; sleeping maximum 2 adults. These rooms do not have a balcony.

Breakfast option: available at a supplement.

Rhum Stop Restaurant (rum-infused Bajan cuisine, open for breakfast, lunch and dinner). There are also many restaurant and bar options just outside of Time Out's front door for you to choose from including Greek, Chinese, Thai, Irish, Mexican, Spanish or International cuisine.

Swimming pool. Basketball*, volleyball* available at Dover playing field, and a range of water sports* are available on Dover Beach.

The customer service was top-tier meaning the best. From the time you walk into timeout hotel to the time you get to your room all the employees even the maintenance crew were genuinely nice. Please support this hotel and book your reservation right away because they book up fast. Everything you need is right on the Gap from restaurants to entertainment. I will definitely come back there if it’s not booked up.

Lovely hotel great location, clean rooms and very comfortable. The management and reception team are very professional and helpful.Only downside was the poor customer service in the bar/restaurant ( Which I am not sure is connected) if so, there is some need of customer service training. Still a great place to stay and I will be back

Location was excellent as there are bars and breakfast places in both directions. Staff were great and really helped with the fact we had 2 babies. We upgraded to a downstairs double king room and it was excellent. Definitely great value and would stay again. The restaurant is good but I feel could be better in terms of choice. We felt welcome from the first minute to the last and the pool is great for kids too. The only thing I’d say is id like to have seen mosquito plug ins in the rooms as we were spraying morning noon and night with incognito and still got bitten a fair few times. Keeping them away with plug ins would help for sure. Lovely little hotel and would definitely stay again. Perfect if you want a bit of peace and quiet although I feel sorry for other guests as we have 2 babies under 2 but the other guests were also fantastic.
