11/10! The Best Hotel We’ve Ever Stayed At in Barbados!
We’ve visited Barbados before and stayed at some lovely hotels, but Treasure Beach Art Hotel has completely stolen our hearts. This was, without question, the best hotel experience we’ve ever had in Barbados. If we could score it 11 out of 10, we absolutely would!
The hotel itself is wonderful, the food is fantastic, the atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the whole experience is exactly what you want from a Caribbean holiday. But the real magic of Treasure Beach is its people. The staff are, quite simply, its greatest asset. They don’t just provide a service; they create an experience. They make you laugh, make you feel welcome, anticipate what you need before you even ask, and make every single day feel special.
THE BAR TEAM: DIZAI, CHRIS AND SHAQ
What a team! Exceptional cocktail makers, brilliant shot makers and absolute masters of anticipatory service. They have that rare ability to know what you want before you’ve even had to ask. Their personalities, professionalism and genuine enthusiasm make every visit to the bar an absolute pleasure.
Great drinks are one thing, but the people making them are what make the experience unforgettable. These three are a credit to Treasure Beach! Their service was outstanding, their energy was infectious, and they helped create exactly the sort of fun, relaxed atmosphere that makes a holiday memorable.
THE RESTAURANT SUPERVISORS: SASHA, SHANTAL AND SHERRIE-ANN
These ladies made dining an absolute joy! They brought so much fun, personality and energy to every experience, and their attitude was consistently, “Yes, we can!” Nothing ever seemed too much trouble.
Add in their fantastic dancing and infectious enthusiasm, and you have a team who make a restaurant feel like part of the entertainment, not just somewhere to eat. They created such a brilliant atmosphere that every meal became something to look forward to.
Their warmth, willingness to help and ability to make everyone feel welcome made a real difference to our stay. Absolutely brilliant ladies, and a huge credit to the hotel!
THE COFFEE AND RESTAURANT TEAM: TIFANY, DEBRA, MICHAL, SOPHIA AND LATOYA
What a fabulous group of people! The service was fantastic, but it was their warmth, humour and ability to make every interaction fun that really stood out.
A special mention must go to Tifany, who absolutely loved her spoons! 🥄 Those little moments of personality and fun are exactly what make a holiday memorable. Tifany brought such a wonderful spirit to our dining experiences, making them feel personal, entertaining and special. It’s these unique little quirks that make staff unforgettable and turn a great holiday into one full of memories and laughter.
Debra, Michal, Sophia and Latoya were equally part of what made the coffee and restaurant experience so enjoyable. Thank you all for the wonderful service, the laughs and the lovely atmosphere you helped create.
It’s easy to underestimate the difference that friendly, engaging staff make to a holiday, but this team proved time and time again that the people serving you can be just as memorable as the food itself. Thank you for making our dining experiences such a pleasure.
A VERY SPECIAL MENTION: SABRINA, OUR BEACH AND POOL AMBASSADOR
Sabrina deserves her own dedicated recognition for the outstanding job she did looking after guests on the beach and around the pool, serving those of us relaxing on our loungers.
Her anticipatory service was second to none!
She seemed to know what guests needed before they even had to ask, making sure we could relax, enjoy the sunshine and feel completely looked after. That level of attentiveness, combined with her friendly approach and genuine commitment to making guests happy, is exceptional.
Looking after guests on their loungers is about so much more than simply taking orders. It’s about being attentive without being intrusive, recognising when someone needs something and making the whole experience effortless. Sabrina absolutely excelled at this.
She helped make our beach and pool days even more relaxing and enjoyable. Her service was a real highlight, and she deserves to be recognised for going above and beyond. Sabrina is a real credit to Treasure Beach, and we hope the management team appreciates just how special she is at what she does.
FRONT OF HOUSE: GLYNE, JANINE AND OSHIN
First impressions matter, and this team gets it absolutely right. They are among the first people you encounter, and they immediately help set the tone for the whole stay.
Glyne, as supervisor, deserves particular recognition, alongside Janine and Oshin. They were welcoming, attentive, warm and always willing to help. Nothing seemed too much trouble, and their genuine desire to make guests happy was evident throughout.
They are fabulous, special people who make you feel that you’re arriving somewhere you belong, rather than simply checking into a hotel. That feeling of being welcomed and looked after from the very beginning makes an enormous difference, and this team deserves every bit of recognition for it.
Their friendliness and willingness to help set the standard for the rest of the stay. It was wonderful to experience such a consistent level of hospitality from the very first interaction.
THE KITCHEN TEAM: SHAUNA, CHERISSE, KAYODE AND KYLE
Fantastic food, a brilliant attitude and, once again, a team whose answer seems to be “yes!” The quality of the food was excellent, and the people behind it deserve huge credit for helping make the whole experience so enjoyable.
It’s clear that the kitchen team contributes far more than what appears on the plate. Their enthusiasm, willingness to accommodate and fun approach are part of the wider culture that makes Treasure Beach so special.
Great food combined with people who genuinely care about the guest experience is a winning combination. Thank you, Shauna, Cherisse, Kayode and Kyle, for helping make every meal part of such a wonderful holiday.
WHAT MAKES TREASURE BEACH SO SPECIAL?
It would be easy to write a review about the hotel, the rooms, the food or the beautiful setting. All of those things matter, of course. But what sets Treasure Beach apart is the culture of hospitality that runs through the entire team.
Across the bar, restaurant, coffee service, beach and pool, front of house and kitchen, we experienced the same attitude: friendliness, fun, genuine care and a willingness to go above and beyond.
The staff anticipate your needs, remember the little things, bring personality to their work and make you feel genuinely welcome. There is a real sense that these people enjoy what they do, take pride in their work and want their guests to have the best possible time.
You cannot manufacture that feeling with fancy furnishings or an impressive brochure. It comes from people, and Treasure Beach has some truly outstanding ones.
Every member of staff we encountered contributed to making this holiday exceptional. The service felt personal rather than scripted, and the atmosphere was fun without ever losing that sense of professionalism. Whether we were enjoying cocktails, having a meal, grabbing a coffee or relaxing on a sun lounger, the experience was consistently brilliant.
To every member of the team named above, thank you. You have made this holiday unforgettable, and we sincerely hope the management team recognises just how valuable you all are. Every single one of you contributes to something special, and you deserve to know how much your efforts are appreciated.
OUR FINAL VERDICT
We have stayed at other hotels in Barbados, but Treasure Beach is now our benchmark. We would recommend it without hesitation, and we would return in a heartbeat. In fact, one of the hardest parts of leaving was knowing we would have to wait to see everyone again!
If you are considering staying here, do yourself a favour and book it. Come for the Caribbean sunshine, the food and the beautiful setting, but know that the people are what will make you want to return.
Treasure Beach Art Hotel, you are an absolute gem. Your staff are your superpower. Please look after them, celebrate them and recognise them, because they are the reason this hotel is so special.
