Without spoiling too much of the elegant vacation experience provided at the Silversands Beach House, suffice it to say that the staff is very friendly and professional and the property is modern and polished in a way that allows for an intimate tropical getaway that gives you a wonderful balance of seclusion at the resort and also easy access to greater Grenada. And you can go from walking out of the airport doors to being in the literal ocean with 15 minutes (go ahead, time it and see).
We stayed up on the hill, and the view is one of the best ways to wake up I've ever experienced. The design aesthetic is crisp and clean while still feeling warm, inviting, and romantic. The in-room Nespresso pods and well-chosen teas are very good touches. The Wi-Fi is also top-notch. There is a hard-to-strike balance between seclusion and quick accessibility that the hill-top rooms succeed in accomplishing.
The beautiful beach and pool at the resort are alone a brilliant way to spend a vacation, but if you're looking for more activities on the island, the concierge service is very helpful in pointing you to snorkeling adventures, for example, and it is easy to access all of St. George's via taxis or Haylup rideshares.
We always felt safe and comfortable.
If you're on the main resort level, all the amenities are very close. If you are in the rooms on the hilltop, the walk is definitely a bit of exercise, but the hotel does provide golf carts to ferry you to your room if you would prefer. While the resort is a 3-minute drive from the airport, there really isn't anything walkable near the resort aside from the beach bar next door accessible from the beach.
If you're staying, definitely take advantage of the included breakfast.
Overall, the feeling of seclusion, privacy, and tasteful modern design make the hill-top rooms and the hotel overall an excellent base of operations for both a relaxing getaway on what feels like a private beach cove and a well-located hub that's ludicrously close to the airport (from a sound standpoint, however, you'd never know it) and allows for easy access to and from the rest of the island via Haylup rideshares.
