My wife and I stayed at Silversands Beach House from March 21–28 to celebrate her 40th birthday, and it ended up being exactly what we needed.
This was our first trip without our kid in four years, so the goal was simple: completely unplug, sit on a beach, and relax. No excursions, no packed schedule, no pressure to do anything. Just reset. This place delivered on that perfectly.
The resort itself is stunning. It’s small, modern, and beautifully designed with a really intentional, intimate feel. The entire property feels peaceful and tucked away. The beach is small, private, and absolutely gorgeous. It never felt crowded, and since there are only two resorts on that stretch, it almost feels like your own little slice of paradise.
The water is surreal. Crystal clear, perfectly calm, and honestly bathtub warm. They have rafts available so you can just float out there for hours, which quickly became one of our favorite parts of the trip.
We stayed in Bungalow 15, which sits up on the hill. It’s a bit of a walk up and down to get to the beach, restaurant, and lobby, but the front desk team was always incredibly responsive with golf cart rides whenever we didn’t feel like making the trek. Never an issue, always easy.
What really makes this place special though is the people.
At Azzurro, Reanna was an absolute standout. She was warm, attentive, and genuinely a ray of sunshine every morning. It’s the kind of energy that sets the tone for your entire day.
On the beach and at the bar, Gary, Romeo, and Keyon were incredible. They somehow managed to keep everything running seamlessly while making sure we were always taken care of. Drinks were always flowing, service was on point, and you can tell how hard those guys work.
Micah at the front desk was also amazing. He helped coordinate everything from dinner reservations to taxis to (very importantly) helping us figure out how to catch a movie while we were there. He even let me dig through the lost and found book stash when I ran out of reading material toward the end of the trip, which was a clutch save.
And Clarista tied it all together. She always made sure we felt taken care of, relaxed, and completely carefree throughout the stay. Just an incredibly thoughtful presence.
We also each got 90-minute massages, which were exactly what we needed. Super relaxing and a perfect addition to a week that was all about slowing down.
One unexpected bonus: the hotel is less than 5 minutes from the airport, but you would never know it. We didn’t hear a single plane the entire time. It made departure day amazing. We were able to fully enjoy the beach until about 1pm and still comfortably make our 3:30 flight. Felt like we squeezed in a whole extra beach day.
All in all, if you’re looking for a place to truly unwind, disconnect, and be taken care of without any chaos or crowds, this is it. Couldn’t recommend it more.
