The hotel

There’s something special about staying in a family run resort. It adds an air of authenticity, a warmer kind of welcome, and little extras which bigger hotels might just forget about. That’s what you get with True Blue Bay Boutique Resort. The owners know just what you need for a stay on this south coast bay, and they include family musts like a kids' playground and activities, local touches like rum and chocolate tasting, and free treats like Hobie cats, ocean kayaks and yoga classes. They even run a complimentary shuttle to Grand Anse Beach, and BBC Beach in Morne Rouge. Designing the hotel themselves, the Fielden family have added Caribbean touches throughout the resort, as well as those things you’d only expect from a big-name hotel; including four pools, a spa, a boutique, fresh bakery, escape room game, and a PADI-certified dive centre.

On arrival mix up with booking, stayed in Indigo standard room for a night, very nice room and balcony. Following day we went to coco pod suite which has two levels, with wet room and balcony on both floors..Above expectations as we had booked a coco pod room. Here we stayed for a week. The resort is nicely spaced out. Fruit trees and four pools. Minor issues eg Ac dealt with quickly. Free shuttle bus to Grande Anse beach was excellent . Grande Anse beach was quiet clean and beautiful. Spiceland Mall was just just across the road from Beach. The resort restaurant Dodgy Dock, inclusive breakfast was repetitive but nice. Dinner at the restaurant was not for us. All the staff were friendly. Brant was very informative and asked if we were OK, everytime he saw us. Jarrel who drove the shuttle bus was always on time and courteous. The resort was very clean and beautiful!. We loved it here and would return. Read less

Our company, Divers Alert Network (DAN) held a board meeting this past week. The facilities are excellent and co-located with the Aquanauts Grenada dive operation, also n excellent family owned facility with excellent facilities and three boats to serve the divers. Highly recommended

Had a fantastic time at True Blue Bay resort this week. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was an eclectic mix of Grenadian cuisine with a bit of South America thrown in. Quesadillas are not Grenadian. There’s some form of entertainment every night. Wednesday is particularly lively and interesting as you get to sample local cuisine at the street food party. I’m no longer a meat eater but I did spot souse, lambi, oil down and lots of other local dishes looking tasty and fresh, on offer. True Blue Bay resort is well placed as the hotel offers short shuttle to Grand Anse and BBC beaches and you could walk to shops etc. Grenada is a beautiful, small but perfectly formed Caribbean island. Try True Blue Bay resort if you’re looking for eclectic, boutique, unique hotel, with spacious rooms, nearby swimming pools (there are 4), and turtles. There are turtle shapes and motifs all over to resort. Would recommend. Read less
