Hidden away on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, the Conrad Tulum isn’t just a hotel - it’s a full-blown vibe. Think five-star barefoot luxury, where ancient Mayan energy meets modern indulgence. One minute you’re sipping cocktails in your private plunge pool, the next you’re off to explore sacred cenotes, jungle ruins and beachy boho bars. Set between lush jungle and turquoise sea, this eco-chic retreat brings zen by the bucketload. We're talking spacious suites with spa-like bathrooms, private terraces and hammocks made for lazy mornings. The spa? Unreal. Foodies, strap in. With 11 restaurants and bars, your tastebuds are going on a world tour - from Yucatán flavours to sushi with a sea breeze. And if you’re not sipping a smoky mezcal cocktail at the rooftop bar as the sun dips into the Caribbean? You’re doing it wrong. It’s ideal for couples, solo travellers and luxe-loving adventurers who want all the beach without the bland. Whether you’re chasing sunsets, snorkelling coral reefs, or just want an excuse to live in a kaftan, the Conrad Tulum brings the wow factor in spades.

My sister and I were really looking forward to a relaxing, luxury experience at Conrad Tulum in June, but unfortunately, our stay left us deeply disappointed. For a resort that charges over $400 per night and markets itself as a serene, stress-free destination, the reality fell far short of expectations.
The beach—one of the main reasons we chose this property—was completely unusable. There were literal mountains of seaweed piled high along the shore, and bulldozers were actively working throughout the day to manage it. The noise, smell, and lack of access to the water significantly detracted from any sense of relaxation. At no point during the booking process were we made aware of this situation, which felt incredibly misleading.
To make matters worse, we had a large scorpion inside our hotel room—on the third floor—which made us feel unsafe and unsettled for the rest of our trip. It entered through a visible gap beneath the door, which could easily have been sealed. This was not just a nuisance; it was alarming and unacceptable for a resort of this supposed caliber.
Throughout our stay, there was no meaningful acknowledgment or compensation offered for these serious issues, despite both being reported. We understand nature is unpredictable, but guests deserve to be notified and taken care of when the experience drastically deviates from what is promised.
We chose Conrad Tulum for its reputation, location, and supposed tranquility, but we left feeling let down and stressed rather than rejuvenated. I genuinely hope the property will take steps to address these concerns—and would appreciate consideration for a future stay that aligns more closely with the standards Conrad is known for.

Great week to start the summer

We enjoyed the restaurants (the grilled fish was delicious), the Kids Club was very well received (great craft projects, wonderful staff), the pools and the many animals around the property.
Excellent Family Stay

Our family enjoyed 2 nights of luxury at the Conrad Tulum. The grounds were beautiful, the staff friendly, the housekeeping impeccable, and the food was delicious. We can’t wait to return. Although it is seaweed season the management did everything possible to remove it.

Beautiful property, friendly staff and amazing restaurants.
The kids went to the kids club for few hours to do some fun craft and they loved it. The staff Shamara, Ruth, Ivette and Mariana were amazing with them. It was such a fun experience. They keep looking forward every day to go.
