The hotel

Hidden away on Mexico’s Riviera Maya, the Conrad Tulum isn’t just a hotel - it’s a full-blown vibe. Think five-star barefoot luxury, where ancient Mayan energy meets modern indulgence. One minute you’re sipping cocktails in your private plunge pool, the next you’re off to explore sacred cenotes, jungle ruins and beachy boho bars. Set between lush jungle and turquoise sea, this eco-chic retreat brings zen by the bucketload. We're talking spacious suites with spa-like bathrooms, private terraces and hammocks made for lazy mornings. The spa? Unreal. Foodies, strap in. With 11 restaurants and bars, your tastebuds are going on a world tour - from Yucatán flavours to sushi with a sea breeze. And if you’re not sipping a smoky mezcal cocktail at the rooftop bar as the sun dips into the Caribbean? You’re doing it wrong. It’s ideal for couples, solo travellers and luxe-loving adventurers who want all the beach without the bland. Whether you’re chasing sunsets, snorkelling coral reefs, or just want an excuse to live in a kaftan, the Conrad Tulum brings the wow factor in spades.

We had a great vacation at the Conrad Tulum. The staff made a huge difference in this hotel. We chose the option that included the Ceiba club, which was great to feed picky kids and not spend lots of money on the hotel restaurants. The staff was superb everywhere we went; especially, I must mention the ladies at the Kids Club (Mariana, Ruth, and Shamara). They were very kind with our kids, very patient and friendly. Our kids absolutely loved it there and wanted to go every day. They had a wonderful calendar of activities and kids did not get bored. The housekeeping staff were fantastic too! They left wonderful treats for us every day and kept our room super tidy and clean. The Ceiba club also included a “wine experience” that my husband and I enjoyed while kids were at the Kids Club; the sommelier MiguelAngel was very knowledgeable and elevated the experience with great historic anecdotes. Truly remarkable experience! Read less

Everything from the beginning of the welcome was great. The hotel is large with a good set of pools. What we really found great of the very relaxed athmosphere of Tulum. Breakfast buffet was amazing. Yobani made sure our breakfast was a good experience. Carlos made sure morning Yoga at the beach was a delight, and lastly even though I was the only one that had signed up, Conrad still completed the 90 minutes Mexican wine experience (thank you!), as well as receiving the Mexican wine history book from the concierge Ricardo. Another feature that was very fun for the family was the many leaguanas (small and large (+40cm)) that was around the property. They dont do anything, but it was great experiencing a bit of jungle feel. We all felt this as a very special vacation and we always felt extremely welcome. Probably one of the best hotel experiences we have tried. Thank you. Read less

Gorgeous hotel suffering from mediocre restaurants and no vibe. The biggest issue we experienced was a beach covered in Sargassum- trucks of it- and the rotting organic matter caused a stench. The restaurants were the most disappointing with no casual (Mexican) dining options and most restaurants save the buffet breakfast were expensive and food poorly prepared. Finally, the location is close to nothing and transport options are very expensive. Read less
