Just back after spending 2 weeks in our favourite place in Mexico. As always the staff were fantastic and everything in their words was "It's a pleasure", they really could not do enough for you. Upon arrival check in was a little slow, prior to arrival although we always request a top floor room with a number of specific lactions / room numbers etc, this is never acknowledged by the hotel before travel or at check in, and you always have to request again when checking in, which slows the process, however after approx 20 mins of tapping away on the computer, we were allocated a great room - we were really grateful for this, thank you ! Rooms always spotless and the cleaning team do a fantastic job, only thing that changed from our last visit was you had to request cleaning on the app everyday. Our firm favourite places to eat for dinner were Tavola ( special recognition for Valeria who was our waitress a few times, she was fab and even asked the chef to make me a lasagne when it wasnt on the menu, the chef did and it was amazing, thanks to the chefs also ), JC steakhouse was fantastic too, Clam Chowder and Crab Cakes are the best ! Defo give them a try if you plan on dining here ! Augusto in the JC was,a brilliant waiter and his english was excellent. For evening drinks we loved The Library ( secret speakeasy adult only bar ) with our favourite staff being Marisol & Jose Luis, Tapas Y Vino and our best waitress in there was Laura, her drinks were beside us before we had asked, she is a credit to Palace resorts. The Unique Day club ( adult only pool ) is our favourite place to spend the day and the team of staff are brilliant, from the guys who work behind the bar, to the cleaning team who ensure the place is spotlessly clean, to the waiters that bring you the drinks to your sunbeds, the best waiters to us were Alfrefo, Juan, Jesus, Freddie as have known them for about 3 years now and was great to meet Daniel too this year. Caribeno still is our favourite place for breakast and big thank you to Erfrain for placing flowers on our table and The Grill was the place to be for lunch. If you're looking for a gorgeous hotel with numerous places to dine, drink, and have a fanfastic time with really amazing staff, give this hotel a try ! We'll be back for our next trip to the Grand Cancun October 27 and we're also booked to visit the new Grand in Punta Cana in May 27, we cant wait ! I hope all staff mentioned will be recognised by higher management as they truly are the reason we return to The Grand in Cancun
