“Third time back!”

A wonderful third stay - and some truly exceptional hospitality! This was my third visit to the Conrad Tulum, and once again, the team made it a really special experience. I was staying for two weeks on my own, and during a conversation with Assistant Manager Bryan Morales, I mentioned that although I loved the food at the hotel, I didn’t necessarily want to dine in the restaurants every evening. Bryan was incredibly thoughtful about this and genuinely keen to make sure I had plenty of variety during my stay. What followed was such a lovely surprise! One evening, the team arranged an entire Mexican feast to be served in my room, complete with a beautifully presented table, a specially designed menu and an incredible selection of dishes. What made it even more special was how much attention they’d paid to my personal preferences - from my favourite meat to exactly how spicy I like my food. Even dessert was a surprise! It was such a generous and thoughtful gesture, and I was genuinely touched by the effort that had gone into it. Later in my stay, the team offered to prepare another special off-menu meal for me. This time, I asked for something a little more modest, and they put together another delicious selection of dishes, again beautifully presented and full of flavour. A special mention to Chef Thare Osorio for the wonderful food and to Ana Velasco, who was an absolute delight when serving me in my room. The warmth and friendliness of the room service team made such a difference throughout my stay, particularly as I was travelling solo. I’ve always enjoyed staying at the Conrad Tulum, but what really stands out is the level of care and attention from the people who work there. Luxury hotels can offer beautiful surroundings and wonderful facilities, but it’s the people who make you feel genuinely looked after that turn a lovely holiday into a memorable one. A huge thank you to Bryan, Chef Thare, Ana and the wider team for going above and beyond. It’s thoughtful gestures like these that keep me coming back, and I’m already looking forward to my fourth visit!

“Conrad Tulum Kids Club is the BEST!”

The Kids Club team at Conrad Tulum was absolutely wonderful! Denisse, Linda, Montserrat, Belén, Victorica, and Pamela were all so warm, welcoming, and amazing with our children. Our kids looked forward to going back to the Kids Club every single day and were always so excited to see them! They had so much fun with all the activities, games, and adventures, and it was clear how much care and attention the team put into making every day special. As parents, it meant so much to know our children were in such loving and capable hands. Thank you for helping make our family vacation even more memorable! We hope to see you all again on our next visit!

“Beautiful resort, but returning guests deserve more recognition”

, St. Regis and Six Senses, to mention a few. Most of the time, I travel with my husband and our two children. This was our second visit to Conrad Tulum. We first stayed here shortly after the hotel opened, so it was interesting to return and see how the property has developed. Firstly, Conrad Tulum is a beautiful resort. The surroundings are stunning, the pools are lovely and the overall atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing. We really enjoyed returning to this property. Housekeeping deserves special mention, as the rooms are kept immaculate and the attention to detail is excellent. Service across all restaurants has also been consistently wonderful, with friendly and attentive staff who genuinely make the dining experience enjoyable. There are, however, a few things I believe could be improved. The first is communication. We requested the possibility of adding an additional room and followed up several times. Unfortunately, it took almost half of our stay before we received a response. By then, with only two nights remaining, we no longer felt it was worthwhile. I would have expected a much quicker response from a hotel of this standard. I was also surprised by the breakfast policy. Despite booking a room for four guests, breakfast was only included for two. This meant paying an additional USD 40 for our 14-year-old daughter and USD 20 for our 11-year-old every morning. USD 60 per day for two children who eat very little is excessive, particularly at a resort that welcomes families. When booking a room for four being a gold member, I would expect breakfast to cover all four guests. It left us feeling that the breakfast arrangement was unnecessarily restrictive for a hotel in this category. Another disappointment was the lack of recognition of us being returning guests. Having stayed here when the hotel was newly opened, I would have appreciated at least some acknowledgment of our return. It doesn’t have to be an upgrade or anything extravagant. Sometimes a small personal gesture is enough to make guests feel valued. All in all, Conrad Tulum is still a beautiful resort and somewhere we enjoy spending time as a family. However, at this level of hospitality, it is often the small details and personal touches that distinguish a good hotel from a truly exceptional one.
