Just returned from 10 nights stay at Secrets The Vine and I have to say it is probably one of the best, if not the best, holiday we have had. The staff throughout the hotel were excellent and very attentive from our arrival to leaving the Hotel. The restaurants are excellent, we managed to dine at all the restaurants and a couple of the poolside bars. the food is well presented, well cooked and really nice. The restaurants do get very busy for dinner but we learned if we dined early (6pm as the restaurants opened), getting a table was straight forward. Later than 6:30 and there would be a wait of an hour or more. The pools are excellent. We didn't try the Infinity pool on the 12th Floor, we choose to use the pools on the ground level. never had a problem getting a recliner by the pool although the spaces around the pools in front of the beach were taken early and quickly. Did see quite a few recliners reserved with towels whereby the owner wouldn't turn up for some time which was a bit annoying at times, but we always managed to get spaces. Lovely little beach with plenty of recliners available. We did go in the sea although it was a bit choppy and the sea weed was a minor issue but that is out of the hotels control. Good beach activities if your interested - we did Jet Ski / Parasailing which was fabulous. The room was spacious and well equipped with daily room service replacing used towels and clean bedding provided every day. Mini bar was kept stocked. If I had one minor comment to make was the number of hangers available in the wardrobes - but that is a really minor comment. Overall a highly enjoyable 10 night stay at Secrets The Vine and highly recommended if you plan to visit Cancun Read less

We stayed here for 2 weeks and cannot fault the hotel or the service. No matter what time of day we could always get a sun lounger. We tended to stay around the main pools as we liked the atmosphere and music, so only went to the quiter Preferred pool once. The room was lovely and our air-conditioning was at a constant 16 degrees so a comfortable temperature. The rest of the hotel was also fine with air-conditioning and not too hot for us. Food and restaurants great, we did Dragons 4 times and had 4 different meals there, all very good. Also recommend the Bluewater Grill for a fillet steak. The live music on offer is really good and even if you think something isn't for you I'd recommend giving it a go as you may be pleasantly surprised like we were with the Opera group and the Cabaret show. The rock band did an excellent live rendition of November Rain, absolutely brilliant. The team at the hotel really made our trip, so in no particular order want to mention Oscar and Bruce, our concierge who really made sure we needed for nothing, even extra coat hangars as soon as we arrived! Jose, Pedro, Cesar and Michelle at The Market Cafe who looked after us so, so well. Thank you for always getting our favourite view and our chats about home life in Mexico and Scotland as well as lessons on chillis. Bar manager Chris worked so hard and Eduardo the bestest sommelier, thanks for the special treat. Finally Aisha, Eduardo, Angel and Jonathan on the Entertainment team, they all work so hard and do lots of stuff without being overbearing if its not for you. The dance lessons in the afternoon were always a good time. Aisha is a credit to the hotel with her endless energy! Would we return here? Without a doubt. Read less

This is one of my favorite resorts to come to. The staff are all amazing. It's close to the airport too which is nice. It's not as big as some resorts you go to and need golf carts to get around. Rafael who was not a server, but worked by the pools helped me everyday with my umbrella. Even helped me with my sunblock because I was there by myself. Breakfast at the buffet was my favorite meal. Edgar and Barnabe remembered me from my last trip, and I sat in their section again. Lunch from the grill by the pools was really good too. This was a short trip for me, and I got sick my last day with a sinus infection so I didn't really get to enjoy dinner at all the restaurants. I did enjoy my filet from the steakhouse and creme Brule. Overall a nice, short trip. Perfect for what I wanted. Read less

Disappointed Stay at Secrets The Vine Cancun I had high expectations for Secrets The Vine, but unfortunately, this resort did not live up to the hype—or the price tag. The biggest issue was the air conditioning. Ours never worked properly the entire week. We were told it was functioning, yet we were handed a fan to “help.” After talking to other guests and doing some online research, we found that AC problems are a recurring issue at this property. We weren’t alone—several others had fans in their rooms too. Aside from that, the service was excellent—staff were friendly and attentive. The food, however, was hit or miss. The Asian and Italian restaurants were the highlights, offering the best meals of the trip. The steakhouse, on the other hand, was a big letdown—comparable to a Waffle House steak at best. There are plenty of beautiful resorts in Cancun that offer better value, comfort, and dining experiences. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend Secrets The Vine. Save your money and look elsewhere. Read less
