Such a great experience for our first all inclusive adult vacation. The spa was perfect and very relaxing. The room service was exceptional, all the way down to the turn down services. Our housekeepers kept us extremely comfortable.

We are a lesbian couple who stayed July 2-9th for our anniversary. We travel to a UVC destination for our anniversary every year if we can. It was the second time coming to this resort. We went 3 years ago before it was owned by Hyatt and I only noticed a couple of differences (that I will mention later). The staff was amazing and pampering and friendly as usual with Secrets. These were our favorites: Alejandra -housekeeping Ariel -room service - friendly Luis- preferred bar & coffee making :) - super friendly , makes an excellent iced coffee and made and effort to get to know us Javier- bar- great martini and memory of our wine preferences Ulises- sommelier for wine tastings and romantic dinner- super knowledgeable with wine Carlos -concierge - very attentive and helpful with recommendations and other needs Benjamin -preferred pool- always helpful with chairs and umbrellas and knowledge of other things the resort offered We booked a preferred club deluxe ocean view and they upgraded us to preferred club ocean view juniors suite. It was spacious and the room was immaculately clean & always well stocked with everything we needed. The air conditioning was always cool too. They gave us a complimentary bottle of sparkling wine on ice in our room, which is always a nice touch for our anniversary. The staff truly gets to know you while you are there and they make you feel at home! They remember your drink order and make conversation which makes the experience top notch! We also loved doing the daily wine tastings because it was so informative! The preferred pool was clean and nice and cool everyday and the other pools were fun with entertainment daily. It was hard to find a chair at the other pools at times. Food in the preferred lounge is clutch for a nibble between meals. Food in the Italian restaurant was amazing! We paid for a nicer bottle of wine and had a table with a beautiful view, which was worth the extra wine charge. Cesar helped us with that part- ask for him! Ok so the difference in having Hyatt ownership: we felt like we should have been offered some other perks since we paid for the nicer wine at dinner and that didn’t happen. We are more used to being pampered or offered extra special things as preferred UVC members and it seemed like that was different this time. Another thing we noticed is the food isn’t as good as it was in past experiences… it just felt like they might be trying to cut corners here and there. I noticed the waterfall was never turned on in the pool too. Not sure if that’s due to new owners or not. Also no free hydrotherapy like we usually get as preferred members. Again these are minute complaints (if I’d even describe them as complaints) and we still truly enjoyed ourselves! We would return! Read less

Secrets the Vine provides many amenities and a great experience. There is always something to see and do as staff is attentive and always ready to provide amusements, entertainment and fun conversation. Every day at the pool there is musical entertainment that you only see in the evening at most hotels. And it is different every day. One day there was a country band group that was so good you would think you had paid for a concert. Great fun. Then games were around all day if you wanted to participate. If not, it was just fun to watch others. 3 pools plus an upstairs preferred pool provided just about any sort of experience you wanted. Evening entertainment was plentiful and just as varied. Everywhere you went there was a choice to fit your taste. From the 2 sisters that were so funny and talented to a short display of opera one evening. It was just so professional and entertaining. Meals were very good. The Blue Water Grill and Dragons were our favorites. Lunch at Sea Salt Grill was always fun and very well done. From the waiters, Eduardo and Roberto, to the tuna appetizers and steak entrees. All of this right by the pool without having to change into shorts and shirts with sleeves as the restrictions in other hotels dictate. As with the other hotels along the Cancun beach, sargassum is present. But the hotel does a very good job sweeping it and you can still enjoy the water that is blue and clear. Rough in the morning but settles in the late afternoon. The entire beach line in Cancun is beginning to decrease but it is still a beautiful ocean. Sun rises are breath taking. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel. Read less
