It’s built in stunning Mayan architectural style, fitting in well with the dazzling tropical location. There are standout facilities for adults and kids alike; the Dreams Spa offers seven treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy circuit with sauna, steam room, showers, Jacuzzi, dynamic pool and an outdoor relaxation area. And whilst you're there, time flies for the kids at the Explorer's Club with board games and video games to keep them busy, sandcastle contests and arts and crafts. Bed was very comfortable. We had to ask for drinks and towels to be topped up in the room a couple of days but this was done within the hour. One of the rooms had a blocked drain which caused a flood, but again this was dealt with very quickly. Unfortunately the Sargassum seaweed is very bad at the moment so the beach was not accessible at all. If you are looking for a beach holiday then this won't be for you. We enjoyed the pool which was large enough to cater for everyone, the pool temp could of been a bit cooler as some days it was very warm. Staff were all very friendly and the food was great. Reception staff were always helpful. We didn't use the spa facilities so can't comment on that. Read less

We had an amazing experience at this Mexico resort!! The food was delicious and clean with plenty of variety, and the staff was always warm and accommodating. I'm pretty specific with diet as fitness is a priority of mine, and I did not miss a beat with the variety and healthy options. We also had the Preferred Club package, which was absolutely worth it. The private check-in and check-out made everything easier, and the air-conditioned Preferred Club Lounge was a great place to cool off during the day or relax with a drink before dinner. The room was spacious and always clean. We were 2 adults and 2 kids. Always felt like home in our room. Even with the seaweed taking over the beach for the entirety of our trip (to not fault of anyone...Mother Nature), it did not impact our experience as the pool is HUGE! You never felt tight or crammed on any day. The entertainment team truly made our trip unforgettable—there was always something fun going on for both kids and adults, from daytime activities to exciting night shows. Each day, there was a full schedule of activities for both kids and adults, which kept everyone entertained and engaged throughout our stay. A special thank you to the incredible entertainment staff: Mar, Tony, Sergio, Monica, Joe (Tocayo), Abraham, Hannia and Omar! You were all so nice and engaging, especially with our kids. Your energy, kindness, and genuine enthusiasm made our stay extra special. We were making bracelets one day by the pool and Monica jumped in with us. Our kids will have that memory forever! My wife and I played pool volleyball pretty much every day, and participated in the "crazy game" of the day! Loved it all! Even after one of the nightly shows (fire show), I loved the DJ set so much that Sergio offered to AirDrop it to me! The genuine care for guest entertainment is truly felt by the staff. Our kids especially loved the Kids Club—Nancy, Samantha, Cinthia and Yahaira were so sweet and kind with the children. They made our little ones feel safe, happy, and excited to come back each day! Special thanks to my morning omelette guy, Santiago! Always made my custom breakfast with a smile! He knew my order as soon as I got there! And last but not least, massive and heartfelt thank you to our main man, Alberto, from the (morning) buffet. Alberto absolutely brightened up our family mornings with his positive energy, so warm and welcoming, full of life and genuinely cared for us. Always ready every morning with our 2 coffees and "leche light". It was always a great start to the day with Alberto! We highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and family-friendly getaway! Fantastic for families! So welcoming! Read less

MexicanShattered dreams We booked our holiday with love Holidays in April 2024 after looking at loads of resorts online however choose Dreams Sapphire as advertised as a beach front resort as this was our main features for booking as we love the ocean especially the Caribbean Sea We where super excited as sadly hadn’t been able to travel since 2019 and was a special year for our 10th wedding anniversary we where super excited and had a photo of this resort on our fridge counting the months weeks and days till being there Well on arrival and seeing the beach at Dreams Sapphire I was wishing I was in a dream? Never seen or smelt anything like it in my life I felt like getting back on a plane and going back I even cried as felt as I booked it I’d let my family down so much. Anyway what could we do we were stuck miles away from home and paid a fortune to be there so had to give this resort a chance Check in Check in was robot like and trying to get you to upgrade immediately without even seeing the resort Rooms When entered the room it was spacious however it’s was so dark not like shown online and very run down state. Vanity area sink was barely working slow water flow and just looked old The mirror was tarnished from age and the build up of dust on the sides was something else The floors where rotten as my son socks where very dirty after little walking on it first evening so we wore fit flops the whole time in the room The balcony couldn’t sit on it as the jungle view really meant what it said? The balcony door you need muscles to open this very old and difficult to open The door stoppers are in the same areas as wardrobe so kept stubbing toes on this Main Lamp didn’t work in the corner of the room Phone was nightmare to work Beds uncomfortable Beach Well what can I say our main attraction for booking Dreams Sapphire resort holiday Masses of heavy seaweed along the whole beach and that horrendous smell left me reluctant to leave my room most days certainly done a lot of breathing through my mouth on this trip Tractors diggers and dumpsters on the beach daily to try and clear however to little to late yes if there is a problem you need to always be a step ahead of a concern clearly not at this resort One look we knew we would never get in the ocean as this was a real problem Pool area and pool Due to beach being shut the pool was busier and we felt this pool was warm not refreshing and the excess chlorine was terrible my son wanted to protect himself more so got him to wear one of his T-shirt in the pool and after one session which went completely green We used the beach showers regularly after pool sessions to refresh and ensure excess chlorine washed away Can get sunbeds when up early however the cushions are very run down and so are the parasols in some areas (pictures included) certainly not 5 star as rated Food and drink Main buffets area lots of choice even though repetitive - just warm sitting there no air conditioning My son had sweetcorn from the grill bar on the 5th day that I had to report as was completely off and smelted sour even the waitress agreed it was off - feel my 12 hour sickness on the second day there was due to food as I am never sick just glad my son wasn’t sick The specialty restaurants where difficult to get into as it’s first in first served which meant long waiting times only done the French one and was disappointing although French onion soup was amazing The Blue grill was really good and Louis the waiter was amazing very informative friendly and attentive The pool side drinks where mainly glasses of ice no quality drinks In the evening in main bar couldn’t get a proper glass had to have the very over used plastic glasses from the pool bar Real lack of seating to the main bar area as well we struggled to get a seat most nights so went back to our room early Spa Great experience in the spa had hydro and massage worth it would have liked another however just to expensive sadly Staff They do work extremely hard however feel there is lack of customer service not very friendly especially the staff in the bars However feel there was a lack of management in the complex which is a shame The games room was great for my son as loves pool table tennis and gaming and was air conditioned however was a very small area and got really busy Overall it was a disappointing holiday and feel this resort needs a more true rating yes maybe at one stage it was 5 star however now that it’s run down and needing a refurb rating needs to addressed to ensure customers are aware plus the problem with the beach is a huge concern as this was something we really wanted and never got sadly Read less
