We recently stayed at Conrad Tulum for the 4th of July weekend, once again a fantastic experience. It’s quickly becoming one of my favorite resorts for a relaxing and elevated getaway.
One thing that never gets old is the arrival experience. Driving through the jungle paths before pulling up to the impressive lobby, sets the tone of the trip.
The friendliness of the staff at check-in made us feel like royalty from the moment we arrived, and I always look forward to trying the welcome drink with its delicious blend of local flavors. This time it was tamarindo with ginger i was surprisingly delighted.
We stayed in Casa 1, which was perfect for the peaceful and quiet escape my husband and I were looking for, a true “middle of the jungle” reset.
We mostly spent time at the Carbon Chiringuito pool, which has become my favorite spot to relax. The atmosphere is peaceful, the poolside food and service were fantastic. After spending a few hours in the sun, it was a lovely surprise when the servers came around offering complimentary treats with refreshing tropical and coconut flavors that tasted like paradise.
A walk along the Saakbé jungle path quickly became my daily morning routine. Listening to the unique bird sounds amongst the tropical plants and trees brought such a sense of calm and was truly the perfect way to start the day.
Breakfast at Maratea was another highlight. The service was exceptional, and the freshly prepared, made-to-order dishes were delicious every morning.
One afternoon we watched one of the World Cup matches at Chaak Bar a great atmosphere amongst fellow football fans, and we had fun taking photos with the themed decorations outside.
Before dinner one evening, we joined a very interesting tequila tasting at the Arbolea Bar before heading to Kengai for dinner. We decided to change things up with Asian cuisine, which was a wonderful contrast to the Mexican flavors we had been enjoying throughout the day. The desserts were particularly memorable, and the chef even came out to share the story and inspiration behind his creations, which was such a thoughtful touch.
After dinner, we relaxed by the fire pits where there was some fun 4th of July themed entertainment and a live DJ. It was the perfect way to end the evening.
On our final day, we spent some time at the main pool for a change of scenery, where I joined one of the creative workshops and left with the cutest souvenir to take home. It was such a fun way to spend some girl time and enjoy a break from the sun.
Another standout for me was the room itself. I absolutely love the Byredo bathroom amenities such a luxurious touch.
We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend and are already planning our next visit.
Thank you to all of the incredible staff who made our stay so memorable. We can’t wait to return
