Guests staying in the Mexican state Quintana Roo are required to pay a travel tax of $11 per adult (over 15 years old). The payment can be made prior to travel, upon arrival or during your stay, as the tax will be imposed upon departure. We enjoyed the a la carte restaurants. La Adalita fiservice. was amazing, along with the lamb at La Boheme (Gabriel and Ruben provided excellent service).

This was our second time at this resort, and these are the things we enjoyed: - SERVICE: at this resort every single employee's priority is to offer an exceptional guest experience. Check-in hosts, bell boys, drivers, maids, barmen, waiters, cooks, butlers... they are all there to help you enjoy every minute of your day to the fullest. Talk to them, relate to them, they will gladly connect with you and make your stay great! - LOCATION: surrounded by nature, with a substantial mangrove in the center and a big artificial lagoon, you can enjoy observing loads of wildlife around you. Coatis, iguanas, all kinds of birds, raccoons... they are more used to you that you may be used to them, so they are harmless. Just respect them and their environment. - THE RESTAURANTS! El Capricho Restaurant counts with an incredible team, under Juan, the Chef, and Daniel, el Capitán. Working as part of their team you will meet other cooks (Miguel, Eduardo and Nadia), and amazing waitresses (Ana!) and hostesses (Loren and Ximena). The italian restaurant, under the leadership of Luis Ramos, its Chef, became our go-to. The whole atmosphere, plus the food and the incredible service, makes for a perfect end of day. Advice: book your dinners as soon as you can if you are not flexible about your supper time. - THE FOOD!! The food in all the restaurants is simply amazing. And if you follow any special diet, let the staff know. Juan, Chef at El Capricho and Luis, Chef at Tentazione, went out of their way to prepare incredible, unforgettable meals for my partner, who is vegan. Breakfast, lunch, diner, they'll prepare something creative, a festival of flavours that will leave you gladly surprised. - THE FACILITIES: spotless, comfortable, moder, excellenty taken care of. The design and decor are thought to make your entire day a relaxing, chilled experience. And the music throughout the resort (lounge/chillout) will set the mood for you. Big plus: no Bluetooth speakers allowed anywhere! Now, things you may find lacking: - THE BEACH: it's really too bad, the TRS, together with its sister resorts, sits on a beautiful coast section. However, it's very rocky. It's still usable and enjoyable, but you will need to negotiate your way into the water. I will mention the problem with the sargassum, even though it's NOT the resort's fault: there is plenty. The complex has a floating barrier trying to keep it away, but the entire Mayan Riviera is dealing with this issue. - THE "PLUS" OFFERS: As you check-in, you will be offered all kinds of add-ons, for different customer segments, by an additional fee. Up to you. We have been there twice, we did not go for any of those and we had a terrific time! Overall, an excellent place with an excellent team and excellent customer service. Congrats TRS!

“This resort is incredible!!!”

Where to start, this has to be the best resort I’ve ever visited, from start to finish!! From arriving, cases dealt with, and sat down to check in, went through options with upgrades, shows, premium travel club and spa options, all worked out and cost laid out clearly, worked out what was best for us, then off we went to our room, driven in our buggy by a super friendly guy. Got to our room, was greeted by the butler, who again was informative, told us about their role, and gave us their WhatsApp, which became a god send of daily information. The room - it’s spacious, clean, tidy and everything has its place. Tv had a good range of English channels, and balcony was private enough. Daily service that kept the room tidied, fridge constantly full of water, soft drinks and beer. But they went a little further with the room, when you returned from your evening out, the curtains drawn and room dressed down for your evening sleep! Pool areas, we spent a majority of our time at the infinity pool, beds are readily available and the most comfortable I’ve had, beach towels readily available, and bar staff were incredible. Spent a day at the white sands main pool, again, huge pool, great swim up bar and again staff can’t do enough for you!! We also done a day at the beach, which is nice, if you are apart of the Premium Travel Club (upgrade at the start), then the beach bar, is a great option for a beach lunch! Restaurants- the choice is immense, and where your butler comes in hand, and does their best work, sends you all the links for the restaurant menus, then you book your times at each place! I couldn’t fault any of the restaurants, but my personal favourite was the Japanese Sumptuori, we went with the al a carte menu (we visited twice), the food was out of this world and as a sushi lover, this was top marks! But also massive shout out to our waiter Jesus, who was informative, went through the menu, and just was great at his work! El Gaucho, the steak house in trs, again can’t fault the food or service!! That goes for all the restaurants at this resort, just couldn’t fault it!! Our butlers Maggie and Gaberial, were amazing, double checking that we had everything, made sure we had dinner reservations, and when we didn’t, ensured we had all the information for buffets! Least but not least, chic cabaret show!! This is worth the extra you pay, again great food and great service, as you sit back and watch an old school show, of singing, dancing and all round entertainment!! Only regret is that we only spent 10 nights here, could’ve spent 14 nights and still not get tired or bored of this resort!! Already looking to book next year!!!
