We arrived on Saturday and the resort is beautiful! Staff have been attentive and kind as has been the case anywhere we stay in Mexico. We have 2 enclave rooms until Friday. The rooms are very nice. Shortly after arrival, we discovered an issue with a door lock and with one of the TV’s…staff was very quick and responsive to fix the problems. Some of the amenities included with enclave bookings have not materialized: no separate check-in, complimentary totes, welcome gift or turndown service, nor have we been assigned a personal concierge so far. Not a big deal - I guess a mere oversight. Making dinner reservations was easy to do with the hotel’s main concierge. There are shows each night but there’s no promotion so we unfortunately made dinner reservations at the same time, so missing out on the hotel’s entertainment. A bit of a disappointment since the hotel concierge could have mentioned the conflict with nightly entertainment since I booked at the same time each night. So far, the food has been good. The private pools are lovely but the tile works needs some repair here and there. The beach is narrow and rocky but the view is exquisite. Would recommend but if you pay for enclave accommodations, you may need to assert yourself to get the full value (which I have not done). Read less

In Justin’s words, it was the “best vacation ever.” We would like to sincerely thank all the kids club staff — Emma, Angel, Bel, Roshy, Cristal, Montse, Mich, and Joss. We highly recommend Hilton Tulum for families planning a trip with children aged around 5-8. Read less

We just got home from a wonderful stay at Hilton Tulum! We upgraded our stay to the Enclave experience and it was definitely worth it. We were brought to the Enclave lounge to check in where we met Enrique, our personal concierge for our stay. He was truly exceptional. He was always super responsive and helpful, even going as far as finding a bag of rice for my phone that fell in the water. The private Enclave areas were a nice touch. We traveled with our boys, 9 and 12, and even though they didn't participate in kids club, they did love the kids area and spent hours snorkeling in the bay area. We saw sting rays, lobsters, tons of fish and even a small lion fish! We were worried before our trip after seeing news of the overwhelming seaweed on the coasts but the Hiltons protected bay offered minimal seaweed to swim in. Our ocean view room was nice and the large shower and space was perfect for our family. Our only criticisms of the stay was that the food was a little underwhelming. While we don't have super high expectations for an all inclusive menu, we did find we were disappointed more than we were satisfied. The buffet breakfast and the hibachi dinner with Israel were the highlights of the food for us. Our other issue was the cost of sunscreen. We quickly ran through the sunscreen I brought with us in the hot Mexican sun so I had to purchase a couple cans in the hotel shop- they came out to almost $50 PER CAN. I know there is a premium on necessities on site but we were a little shell shocked by those prices. Overall, though, the staff- from the room cleaners to the pool waiters- was very friendly- many of them patient with me and my son as we practiced our Spanish with them- and very kind and helpful. (Soloma makes the best omeletes, Alfredo was server almost every morning for breakfast and went above and beyond for us, and Daniel made the best spicy margarita I had the entire trip in the Enclave lounge- to name a few). Thank you for a wonderful trip and tons of memories! Read less

We went to this resort from Jul 3 to Jul 10 and highly recommend it for families. We stayed in Casa 6 which is where the Kid pool, activities and other cool things like the beautiful outdoor buffet is (where we went daily for breakfast and lunch). My husband and I travelled with our 8 year old and 17 year old girls and there was enough to do for both to enjoy. The people really made our stay special ... from all the amazing servers at the buffet Vela Sur. A huge shout out to Sophia at the Gym who did an amazing Animal Yoga class just for me. Thanks Sophia! One of our favorite places to visit multiple times a day is Azulinda Café. I went in the early mornings before the gym for espressos and our little one loved the ice creams. Everything was just great and we hope to travel back there again soon. The only thing is the seaweed that is around ... but you will get used to the smell. Also keep in mind that this resort does not have the traditional beach front so check that out. Thank you to all at the Hilton Tulum for making our family vacation such a special time! PS - I loved the food everywhere and I am a really hard one to please. Read less
