DO NOT BOOK! We have only been here ONE DAY and it is awful! FOOD: HORRIBLE! Everything is not fresh, not a lot of selections. Everything is horrible and you don't get your money's worth for the food or drinks. They have no idea how to make the drinks and because there's no straws, forget about any mixed drinks, pina coladas or anything that makes a beach vacation. Drink cups are in mini glasses too :( BEACH: Be aware that there is Seaweed so that is out of their control. The issue is there is NO Beach here. There is a small strip that leads to a small area of water with ALL rocks and no sand. There is limited umbrellas and chairs, and ZERO service for food and drinks. You pay for all inclusive but limited on drinks and food here. Customer Service: Bad. There is none. Nobody wants to work and the service is slow. NOBODY works on the beach or pools so expect to not get your money's worth. Getting Around: There are 12 buildings not 6.. and they say transportation to take you from your building to the beach, or lobby or eating comes every 5 minutes. That is NOT true. We have waited multiple times 45 minutes for someone to come get us from in front of our building. Be prepared to walk A LOT. Rooms: Air conditioning is controlled and you can't make it cooler than 69F. In total, we are miserable. It is a waste of time and money. It's a shame because we only vacation with Hilton and this is a MAJOR disappointment. Read less

I stayed at the Hilton Tulum for one week with me and my boyfriend. I taught yoga there. The staff was wonderful and supportive. I was pleased to experience all the wonderful all inclusive amenities, and perks. The weather was beautiful and the scenery and architecture is a 10 out of 10. I would definitely come back here again.

Hotel is beautiful, well kept and has everything you need on site. We booked into restaurants every night. Noruko was one of our favourites, we nearly cancelled as I have coeliac (gluten intolerance) but our waiter, Pedro was great and made sure my food had gluten free soy sauce. He remembered us the second time we visited and was very helpful then. All the staff were excellent about food allergies, making sure I was well looked after. Cocktails at casa 2 through the day were great and the ladies serving were fantastic. Casa 6 pool had a better breeze and felt cooler. The staff in the bar and restaurant at Vela Sur (casa 6) worked hard, were friendly and helpful. The evening entertainment was mainly a show which were ok but the same from one week to the next which was a shame when you’re there for 2 weeks. The glow party was good. All the pools were warm by the afternoon. They were the main thing that knock the reviews back. There were regular buggy cars to get you around but it was an easy walk through the hotel in the shade. There didn’t seem to be many kids by the splash park when we arrived and it’s very hot in Jul/Aug for young ones so our daughter went to kids club on the second day. It started with a dance class which we knew she’d like. Kids club is open 10-10 & you have to take them out for food 1-2 and 6-7. I tried to pick our daughter up at 5.15 and she didn’t want to leave, we had to come back at 6! Kids club was brilliant, a lovely cool space where they could climb, swing & play. They had varied activities (making spin drums and tie dye T-shirts etc) that they could take part in or just play in the centre. They also went to the pool in the morning and splash park in the afternoon for an hour each. We were at the pool trying to say hi and she was always too busy playing with her friends and joining in games. Her favourites were Joss and Angel and she’s desperate to go back to see them. They made it really fun for her and always had loads of energy to play. We didn’t go to kids club on an evening (7pm onwards) as we were mainly in the main lobby area by then. All the parents liked to be in kids club for pick up as the air con is amazing. They also send regular photos through what’s app. We traveled with TUI, it felt quite far from Cancun but it’s close to Xel-ha (we took a taxi there) and we booked a trip to Isla Mujures through the onsite office. We had an amazing time. Great service. My kids LOVED the kids club. Every morning they would ask me to look at the activities for the day. Based on what they liked they would stay and didn’t want to leave. They said the teachers were REALLY nice and made everything fun. Would highly recommend.
