We just got back from staying at the Blue Lagoon Hotel & Marina, in St. Vincent. Upon arriving, the hotel was clean and the staff friendly. We had a beautiful view from the balcony at the marina and of the many yachts that came in and out of the harbour. That said, the room had a strange odor that we tried to ignore, but by the third day, we had to say something to management. They promptly moved us to another room which was refreshingly better. The bed was super comfy, but I wished I had brought my pillow from home. A mini fridge would have made the room perfect. We ate almost every meal at The Loft, inside the hotel, and there were some tasty meals like curry chickpeas and potatoes. We did venture off to eat at 4 Shells Fish Joint; not the nicest decor inside but the food was delicious. We also ate at Damascino Restaurant and Bar down the street which was phenomenal. Food was amazing and prices, reasonable. Best rum punch, ever. Back to the Blue Lagoon. The pool area is beautiful and an oasis in itself. Taxis can easily be arranged to take you wherever you'd like to go and the people/locals are super friendly and helpful. Go to Bequia if you have the chance~beaches are breathtaking. Enjoy. Read less

I wanted to like this hotel, I really did. My wife and I went for a quick weekend getaway. On paper the property looks ideal. We got the King Bed Kitchenette. Our check in was sort of strange. The woman checking us in barely spoke or acknowledged us but soon enough we were given a key. Her highest priority was collecting the $6 "climate tax." It's a stupid tax but whatever. When we went into the room, the floors, walls and even furniture were absolutely dripping with some liquid. We live in Florida, we understand humidity. This wasn't humidity, it was some strange cleaning solution. We literally had to get a towel and wipe down the entire room. We still aren't sure what it was but it wasn't condensation as it had an odor. Some sort of cleaning solution? Bizarre to have it streaming down the walls. We had a couple of small requests at the front desk that were summarily refused. Ok...Our room was immediately above the convenience store that doubles as a marijuana dispensary. It smelled like skunk bud every time you opened the room door. We ate at the restaurant. Service was good; food was bad! Upon preparing to leave we found a pair of someone else's underwear under the bed. Wonderful. I imagine that they are still there. Lastly when I requested a late check out I was told that they could accommodate the request but it would cost another $10 for one hour. When visiting the Caribbean you have to expect deferred maintenance due to the climate, but a property can make up for it with hospitality. This property doesn't really bother with either. Read less

I cannot praise this hotel enough, it is beautifully situated overlooking the marina. The service given to my family from all the staff was so personal, warm and friendly. The accommodation was perfect, a clean spacious room with a comfortable bed and a delightful marina view. The Loft restaurant, Cafe Soleil & The Flowt bar food, plus cocktails were delicious and strong. Our 2 weeks flew by and I cannot wait to return to this beautiful Island. I know exactly where I'll be staying. Shout out to these exceptional staff members. On Reception, Stephen, Emmanuel & Cassandra, no task was too small and every request was acted on immediately.. The Loft Restaurant and Desiree with her humor & delicious cocktails, plus the cook who supplied tasty food, you also got an amazing view whilst you dined! Café Soleil's Desiree & her team, gave us a true Vincy breakfast to start our day. Desiree even gave my family a lift to get the boat across to Young Island, she just did it as a favour which was so kind of her. The Flowt bar cocktails and snacks were a perfect way to end your day. As a bonus we popped over to Coconut Grove Beach which is a few minutes stroll away, sun, sea, sand, sun loungers, a gorgeous sunset whilst sipping on cocktails accompanied with snacks or a full menu. We spent many hours there too. I loved touring the Island as we visited the Leeward side and saw Mt Soufriere & Dark View Falls, we hired a taxi who does tours for the day, we used the brilliant Stefano Taxi tours, just speak to the front desk team and they will advise you as there are others you can also choose from. We spent some time in Kingstown's bustling marketplace... All in all we had a dream holiday at The Blue Lagoon Marina and look forward to visiting again sometime soon. Read less

The Blue Lagoon Hotel and Marina was a great place to stay and as a base to explore St.Vincent and the Grenadines. The staff were all friendly and cheerful. Bedroom was great size with balcony overlooking the beach.Clean and bright.. The food was delicious and plentiful! The Loft Restaurant had great views over Marina too. Only live music was on Sundays below the Loft, which was perfect for us and stopped at a reasonable time so it was a quiet place to relax. Swimming Pool was surrounded by lush gardens and plenty of seating areas.(Beach towels provided in bedrooms) Good little Supermarket providing good selection of basics and alcohol/drinks. Chartering Boats from Marina is highly recommended to see around these lovely islands. Read less
