This was our first Sandals vacation and it did not disappoint. St Vincent is not a party resort but they have fun activities while you relax at the pool and good entertainment at night. The view around the resort is breathtaking. We enjoyed our stay so much that we booked our next trip before leaving. If you go to St. Vincent definitely take medication if you suffer from motion sickness. The roads on the island follow the geography and are pretty curvy as the island is filled with beautiful mountains. I did not have any issues but my wife did not feel well by the end of the 40 minute drive. Read less

We recently spent a week at Sandals St. Vincent & the Grenadines resort, marking our sixth Sandals experience. The visit was fantastic overall! The resort is stunning, and the refreshed Sandals 2.0 vibe was truly palpable! The Great • The Arrival/Departure: We stayed in the Beachfront One Bedroom Butler Villa Suite with Private Pool (BVJP) for eight nights. Our boat transfer went flawlessly. After a 15-minute Sandals-coordinated ride from the airport to the marina, we boarded the boat and enjoyed beautiful sights around the island! About 25 minutes later, we arrived at the resort, greeted by our butlers with cold towels and rum drinks. The staff handled our bags while the butler showed us around. We were in our room and private pool within 20 minutes of arrival! Our departure was similarly smooth. The boat left on time and got us back to the airport with plenty of time to spare. • The Room: The room was new, bright, clean, and modern, with stunning views of the beach and ocean! It was more private than I initially thought; while people walking by would glance, it didn’t make us uncomfortable. We requested specific alcohol for our room, and they accommodated without us having to ask again! A Sandals first! The bathroom was spacious, thought there were no electrical sockets due to country safety laws. However, there are plenty of sockets throughout the villa (both US and European), so adaptors weren’t necessary unless you want to use all the sockets. There was ample closet space, the bed was very comfortable, and the AC worked great! We spent most mornings on the beach or at one of the pools, and our afternoons in our private pool relaxing before dinner. I brought my own float, but they also provide Sandals floats. Bring bug spray! The bugs loved to swarm around our pool. Usually, Sandals will fog the resort frequently, however we did not see them do this once. • The Butlers: we had an amazing team! Janine and Onika took excellent care of us, accommodating all our requests (which weren’t many but when we asked, they were always on it)! They made our anniversary special by surprising us with the heart-shaped floating tray with lunch in our private pool, followed by a private sip and paint session in our room! My husband and I painted each other’s portraits and had the best belly laugh from the experience! The entire team was just fantastic and deserve a shoutout/award for excellence! The management team at this resort were also great! They were approachable and genuinely cared about our experience. • The Resort: The resort was new, clean, and modern, with great food and beverage options. Having visited five other Sandals resorts, this 2.0 version was fantastic! Our favorite food was at Butches, especially thanks to their amazing chef, Romello. We also loved Sora for Italian cuisine and Guatsu Guatsu for Sushi! The manager at Guatsu is amazing! The pizza was also really good, though being from Connecticut, it’s hard to compete with the pizza capital of the US! The pools were great, and the beach was clean with soft sand. Getting chairs was never an issue with having a butler, but it didn’t seem to be a problem for others either. We just love not having to even worry about it! When we left after lunch to return to our private pool, most people were considerate about asking to take our chairs. They also offered a lot of activities, which I flagged in our daily planner on the app. The app has come such a long way and is more modern and helpful! • The Spa: The facility was clean and well-equipped with all the necessary amenities. We pre-booked a tropical couples massage outside near the running river, which was incredibly relaxing and peaceful with the sound of running water and the occasional breeze. We enjoyed it so much that we rebooked a second massage later in the week. The hot and cold pools were great, and the sauna and steam rooms were nice. A few cautions: when outside, you may occasionally hear farm animals across the river, which was only bothersome to me when they cried. The staff may also try to sell you products after your service, which can be a nuisance, but you can simply decline. The Opportunities • There is really not much we can critique with the resort or staff. It’s truly a beautiful place and experience on site! • I would however like to raise awareness about the stray animals we saw across the island, mainly dogs and cats. Many were wondering the dangerous roads and downtown Kingstown, some with puppies or visible injuries and illnesses. At the resort, some strays hung around the beach and other areas. They were so sweet and not a nuisance at all! While the staff often ignored or shooed them away, the guests took care of them, with some even considering adoption. It was clear that most of the guests wanted to do more to help, but with limited information felt helpless. My husband and I are major animal lovers and considered adopting as well, but after doing some research on our own, we found the process to be confusing and cumbersome. This is in no way a reflection of Sandals, or the resort itself, but more so an observation of the island culture and an issue needing support. Sandals has started an initiative with the Vincentian Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (VSPCA), a volunteer-run non-profit in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, dedicated to animal welfare. While we wanted to help every stray, it was saddening to realize how challenging it would be. As a developing country, it’s not easy to obtain experienced veterinarians and proper supplies. It will also take a unified, consistent effort to educate the locals and eventually change the culture. I challenge Sandals to strengthen their marketing efforts around animal welfare initiatives, especially in St. Vincent, as most guests are unaware and would love to get more involved! Leaving feeling helpless, we decided to donate to the VSPCA. I asked for a receipt so that I could request my company match my donation. I was informed that they are challenged with this because they cannot obtain a 501 c (3) status in the US to allow for more corporate company donations, which are badly needed. Maybe Sandals can help with this! Also, the VSPCA is hosting an event in October 2025 that will host international veterinarians to assist with their spay and neuter program but need assistance with funding their accommodations. Please consider checking them out and donating if able. Read less

Beautiful resort! This was our first Sandals resort as it was for our honeymoon. The food at all restaurants on resort property were amazing. The ocean and water sports was also an amazing activity. Main pool is a fun time with a swim up bar if you’re looking for music and consuming alcohol. The rest of the resort was very quiet as you get away from the main pool. Ocean side pool and beach were also amazing! I would recommend coming here to anyone asking about the resort. One downside is the travel from the airport to the resort as it is 1-1.5 hour drive. If you get car sick this is a rough drive as the roads are curved and no straight roads. Read less

So many wonderful people here… Zoe and Jeffrey at Gatsu Gatsu took great care of us ( first visit ). Second visit, Shevena ensured our second visit was just as wonderful as the first. So many wonderful people followed up to ensure our vacation was exceeding our expectations, Ashanti was so friendly and made sure we were TRULY enjoying our vacation. We found ourselves splitting our time between the quiet pool and the party pool. The DJ at the party pool kept the mix lively without being too Rave. We have another Sandals trip booked for 2026, but Saint Vincent is on our 2027 schedule. We will be back many times to this beautiful lush and peaceful bit of paradise. Read less

Omaley and Ernesto left lasting impressions whenever we ran into them. Ultimately all staff members very friendly from concierge to the coffee shop we wish we had more time to get to know them all. So we will definitely return someday to visit this beautiful resort and everyone who makes it that way again. Please have bigger t-shirts in gift shop. :) Thank you for a great vacation, keep up the great work. Read less
