“Overpriced Stay with limited amenities and food”

We stayed in a one bedroom villa at the Liming for $742/night. Overall the experience was just okay. The Pros - Having a living room in our villa and a private pool was a nice addition rather than just having a hotel room and the cleaning staff were very attentive. The bed was very comfortable, strong air conditioning, plush and large bath towels, and nice sense of privacy. Another pro was the hotel restaurant has its own dock so if you do a private boat tour they can pick you up right at the hotel. The Cons - the road and entrance to the hotel is a bumpy dirt road, you’re very isolated in this part of the island which inevitably means you can only eat at the hotel without a 20 min taxi to another restaurant (which I recommend for variety). The hotel restaurant was good, but expensive (entrees are $50/60/70 USD) and the menu options are quite limited - maybe 5 or so entree options and 5 starter options. Now given we came in May it was their shoulder season, which apparently meant they did not have reliable access to produce/ingredients. For instance they were out of arancini’s from the 5 appetizers, they were out of plantains for the lunch menu, they were out of lettuce and could not make a chicken Caesar for lunch, they were out of lemons so could not make a lemonade, they had no diet cokes, etc etc it was comical given it was the only restaurant and there were only like 15 guests at the hotel. Additionally service at the restaurant was very slow - we usually waited 45 minutes for our food even when no one else was at the restaurant. The waiters would disappear so no one checked if we needed a refill on a drink or like cheese for our pasta. At breakfast their menu says freshly squeezed juice of the day - there was none bc they just didn’t have ingredients. So in short the restaurant menu just feels limited even if they did have all the ingredients, it gets tired especially if you have any food restrictions. Separately the hotel asked us if they could help us do anything while we were here - we said yes a boat tour to an island. Not only did they not get us a boat, they never circled back with any feedback on our inquiry even though we followed up twice. And the irony is I whatsapp message the boat tour operator that was being promoted by the hotel and was able to book a boat with them. That was kind of ridiculous- the very company our hotel was supposedly reaching out to. Finally there’s only 1 small pool by the restaurant which is also the lobby area. There isn’t really a nice central hang out pool with lounge chairs, hence why you end up hanging out in your villa pool. And the beach is a short strip, you can walk it in 5 minutes. It’s better than no beach, but nothing special and there’s minimal lounge chairs here too. Overall trip was fun because it’s still vacation afterall but certainly not worth coming back to this hotel or for the steep $700+ price.

“Outstanding destination for peace and quiet and rejuvenation”

The effort to get to Bequia is certainly worth it especially when you arrive at the Liming. If you are seeking calm and relaxation this Hotel is one of the best. Low key and with excellent service, that is a wonderful place to go an enjoy the Art of Doing Nothing. The most helpful concierge can book you things to do and arrange to get you a taxi to get to Port Elizabeth if you so desire. During our stay, it was never crowded and often times we were able to dine by ourselves in our favorite sea side table. I would definitely not rent a car, driving in Bequia is not for the faint of heart. Breakfasts is complimentary, we never tried lunch, and dinner was wonderful and there is enough variety in the menu to try different entrees. Staff was extremely friendly and we enjoyed getting to talk with many of them about the history and culture of Bequia. Oh, make sure you say hello to the official greeter of the Liming, Ms. Deloris (the cat) . If she likes you she will let you give her some head scratches.

Our family of four had the most phenomenal stay at Liming Bequia Jan 2-8, 2026. We stayed in Villa #6 (Petit Martinique), and it honestly exceeded every expectation we had. The rooms are spacious, large family room to gather with kitchen table, plunge pool at your footsteps was used several times daily and always kept clean. Room amenities on point everything to complete the luxury stay including plush robes, towels, slippers, well stocked bar, fresh fruit etc. From the moment we arrived, everything felt effortless, warm, and genuinely welcoming. The villa itself was stunning - private, beautifully designed, and absolutely perfect for family with young kids. It felt like our own slice of paradise. A special mention must go to the general manager, Ian, who is truly first class. His attention to detail, professionalism, and genuine care for guests set the tone for the entire experience. You can tell the property is run with pride and heart. Every single staff member was exceptional - from the wonderful ladies in reception to the attentive service team and the incredibly talented chef. Everyone went out of their way to make us feel relaxed, looked after, and at home, while still delivering a world-class luxury experience. Every single meal was impeccable - fine dining with a carribean flare and they will easily accommodate any dietary requirements / allergies. This was one of those rare stays where everything just clicks. Liming Bequia gave our family memories we’ll treasure forever, and we cannot wait to return. Highly, highly recommended - don’t hesitate, just book it and get ready to enjoy heaven on earth!
