If you book directly through the hotel, you make sure you record the conversation and you write it down and you check that receipt that comes through email while you’re still on the phone with them, but even if you do if you didn’t record the call, they may still get you. They charged me to iron my clothes, but they came back as if they hadn’t been touched. I couldn’t even pack them. They refunded ₹3100 of the laundry and that was their way of making right for the fact that they overcharged is $260 in rupees. Additionally, I was charged an extra $30 in spa fees, I was charged an extra 25% in buffet fees. I was charged an extra 20% and all of the meals. This is beyond gratuity room and taxes, every last thing they said I would have a discount on I was not given it and I had to fight too and now. I spent an entire day of my vacation at the Shangri-La front desk and the resolution I got was around 35 USD back. This is highway robbery. This is a very very dishonest place. The staff is very friendly. The rooms are very nice, but the front desk is trained like Pitbulls and they will take you in the ring and chew you up and spit you out and you will not get a dime back. The other thing they did as they took my phone off-line every single time I had to book an Uber. This means I had to use the Hotel car which about 10 times as much OK now the concierge was kind enough to let me link through their hotspot and their Wi-Fi and it worked just fine but get this with the hotel management and IT comes down to check out why my Wi-Fi is not working and I promise me it’ll never happen again because it’s been almost 6 days. I’ve almost no service, he blames it on something in the ceiling And says it won’t happen and offer absolutely no resolution in the next day. I’m in the same place all over again. I am not staying there, oh yes, you are paying that and we don’t care if you stay here and they will stay there with you at the front desk all day but they will not give you back a dime and you can sit there and you can show them but look online.
