I wish the Hyatt properties in Singapore (Grand Hyatt and Andaz) can learn a trick or two from this amazing team at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai

Very Disappointing Experience – Not Worth the Five-Star Price
I had extremely high expectations for the Grand Hyatt Mumbai given its five-star status and premium pricing, but unfortunately the experience fell far short.
Upon check-in, we were given a room that smelled strongly of smoke and mold. After raising this issue, we were moved to another room that did not have the odor, but this new room was located in an area with constant noise. The noise continued until around 2 a.m., making it very difficult to sleep. We were never warned about this in advance. The AC vent makes non stop noise unless you turn it off completely which doesn’t allow you to sleep.
Another major issue was the lack of transparency regarding a government ban on alcohol. This information was not communicated to us prior to check-in or payment. We only found out after we had already checked in and paid, which was extremely disappointing and felt misleading—especially for an international, luxury hotel that should proactively inform guests of such significant restrictions.
Housekeeping was also substandard. Our room was not cleaned as expected, which is unacceptable at any hotel, let alone one that markets itself as five-star.
When we approached the front desk staff asking for recommendations or suggestions for things to do around the hotel, they were unhelpful and dismissive. We were told to come back in half an hour to speak to someone else instead of receiving immediate assistance.
Overall, we paid a very high price expecting comfort, service, and professionalism, but instead received what felt like one-star accommodations. Based on this experience, I would not recommend the Grand Hyatt Mumbai to anyone and would strongly advise travelers to look elsewhere for better value and service. Absolutely dreading that we have three more nights left in our stay.

We really had a wonderful experience. Rajendra ji and Nikhil ji provided us with great hospitality. Starting with breakfast we had ample number of cuisines all tasted so good. Our room cleaning was taken care by Rajendra ji who provided us with commendable service.
