I have been a proud member of World of Hyatt for over a decade and my recent stay at Grand Hyatt Mumbai truly reminded me why I value this brand so deeply.
This visit was especially meaningful as I had planned a one-night birthday celebration for my husband and the entire experience exceeded our expectations.
From the very beginning, Ritvika and Hamza at the front desk made our check-in seamless and welcoming. Although we had initially informed them of an 11:00 am arrival, we reached much later at 1:45 pm. Despite this, they graciously accommodated us with a late check-out, ensuring we could fully enjoy our stay without any rush. Their flexibility and warmth set the tone for what turned out to be a memorable experience. We were also delighted to receive a generous discount on food and beverages.
Special thanks to Alistair, Nazma and Stephy for beautifully decorating our room and making the celebration even more special with their thoughtful efforts.
A special mention goes to Roshni from Guest Relations, who truly elevated our stay. From warmly welcoming us to personally escorting us to our room, she made us feel incredibly valued. The moment she learned that we are Maharashtrian, she instantly connected with us by speaking in Marathi, such a thoughtful and heartwarming gesture. She not only clicked beautiful pictures for us but also ensured her colleagues joined in making our experience even more special. Later, she even arranged for a room change to a quieter courtyard view upon our request and surprised us with a handwritten note and photograph, an unforgettable personal touch.
I would like to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Darling Vishal Sakpal, the F&B Manager who is truly exceptional. Despite being on leave, he went out of his way to ensure everything was perfectly arranged for us. From coordinating with his team to sending us two delightful cakes, a Red Velvet Cheesecake and a Fruit Cake which was absolutely delicious & his efforts were beyond commendable. He also made cakes arrangement for our anniversary celebration over a simple call on 10th April, reflecting his dedication and passion for hospitality. His leadership is clearly reflected in his team Rajesh and Sahil, who provided impeccable service and were always attentive to our needs.
The breakfast buffet was enjoyable, though I would love to see a wider variety.
Especially authentic Maharashtrian dishes like Malwani fish curry and fish fried in rice flour and rawa. Including such regional delicacies in the dinner buffet would make the culinary experience even richer.
Sanjana and Tianna from Guest Relations also added to our experience by visiting our room, greeting us warmly and capturing lovely moments. Sanjana’s handwritten card with our photograph was a beautiful and thoughtful surprise.
Roshni from Guest Relations, continued to ensure we felt celebrated throughout our stay with her kind gestures and attention to detail. Her colleague Mashaf also greeted us and clicked picture with us.
We also celebrated Valentine’s Day during our stay and Mayuresh from Room Dining captured some wonderful photographs for us.
Later, we explored the hotel property...its grandeur, expansive layout and serene ambience truly stand out.
Our main birthday celebration in the evening was beautifully managed. Shadab captured stunning photos of the celebration, while Rajesh and Sahil ensured everything ran smoothly. Rajesh even went the extra mile by offering us Coca-Cola cans and thoughtfully packing Ice cream and Schezwan fried rice for us to enjoy comfortably in our room.
I really loved the Ice cream brand.
It was also fun reconnecting with Hamza, we couldn’t resist teasing him about his now-famous name after Dhurandhar Movie Sucess.
He also clicked our lovey dovey photos and made our birthday even more memorable.
The next morning, Rajesh from the Swimming Pool Area helped us capture lovely moments, adding a perfect ending to our stay.
Overall, this was not just a hotel stay, it was an experience filled with warmth, thoughtful gestures and genuine hospitality.
Every team member went above and beyond to make our celebration special.
I am now eagerly planning to celebrate my parents’ 50th wedding anniversary here and will definitely reconnect with Vishal Sakpal, I am confident that, whether he is present or not, his team will deliver yet another unforgettable experience.
I will definitely contact Hamza for booking.
