Great value for money when doing all inclusive. We ended up switching over after one night after racking up a bill. It was better value. The pool area is what always brings us back to this hotel

Overall stay was very good. The hotel facilities are well maintained and / or updated. Dining is perfect! Reasonable price. Transportation assistance is perfect! Fast, safe and reasonable cost.

We travelled in May for my mothers 70th birthday. We had a group of 10 adults and 7 kids (5 rooms). I have been to Bali many times before and this is my third stay in Nusa Dua (different hotels each trip). I have also stayed in many luxury hotels around the world so have a lot to compare to - see my other reviews. We chose Grand Hyatt as not that many resorts in Nusa Dua have 1 room options for a family of 4. We also wanted to be close to Bali Collection for other restaurant options and this end past the blow hole is the nicer beach- on the other side of the blow hole it’s more like little inlets with rocks. We knew the resort was large in size so booked 2 ocean view rooms so we could get in the village that was close to pool/beach, hoping the other rooms would be in the same village. They were, but each village is massive inside its self so the rooms were on different levels. This was our 3rd resort on this trip and was supposed to be the best and would be where we celebrated the 70th birthday in style. Unfortunately this was not to be case, Rooms are not suitable for 4 - the daybed is supposed to sleep 2 kids. 2 small kids that are OK with touching each other. They are nothing more than king single. I emailed and called the resort and read the reviews as this was my biggest concern. I as assured that they would be fine for 10 to 12 year olds to share. They are not. This caused us issues with 2 of the rooms with the hotel saying they couldn't do anything about it. Eventually they found us 2 rooms that would be available the next day in the back village that had a double, daybed and a single bed. These rooms are not advertised. The only issue is that because they are in the back village it's a lot of walking to anywhere! Upon checkin every room had issues - from faulty things in rooms, cleaning not completed to daybeds not being made up as beds. They were accommodating in fixing things but at this price point I expect more quality control - because of all these issues the check in process for our group took 2 hours. During the stay we also had issues with restaurant bookings. Because of the size of group we had to book, however the resort was apparently full and so it was difficult to get a booking (even for 2) without doing it 24hours in advance and we even had to pre-order our meals by going to the restaurant (remembering it's a big walk around the resort). The Garden restaurant got our time wrong and called us as we were getting ready and said our food was ready so we had to get to the restaurant where they then instantly served us our food which was mostly cold. No apology, no discount, not even a free drink. We mostly ate at the pool and Italian restaurant - it was handy and tasty. Breakfast buffet was in all restaurants - mostly the same food but the Italian had a few better options and a much nicer outlook. What was disappointing in that for those that didn't do the all inclusive the only other option is room service or going to another resort. My parents who are not big eaters ended up getting some cereal from Bali Collection and having that instead. The buffet is average and of all my stays in Bali would be rated the worse. If you love your breakfast buffets the best by far is Sofitel at Nusa Dua. The service was friendly and polite. Apologies but no solutions. I expected the great Bali service you get everywhere else. For a group our size spending days at the pool with kids, they should at least remember us. No high fives for the kids, no animal towels, no chatting - it was just not the Bali experience we know and love. They did give my mum flowers and a card on her birthday - this was a nice touch. Overall it was a disappointing experience for someone that is used to more from Bali resorts. If you are a first timer you will probably find it great. High Price Average rooms Food great Pool is excellent but very big and you can't watch kids easily Service average Location is excellent (Bali collection and markets a walk away) Beach is beautiful Beware: daybeds are not suitable for 2 big kids and there is a lot of walking to get anywhere (they have a buggy but we rarely saw it - we waited 30mins one day just to prove that it doesn't come every 20mins as the signs stated) Read less

We loved our time so much! So much to offer and brilliant shops/food places (Le Bleu was great for cocktails!) and cafes just across the road or along the beach to give variety if you wanted to explore (but in a no-brainer way). So much to offer and brilliant shops/food places (Le Bleu was great for cocktails!) and cafes just across the road or along the beach to give variety if you wanted to explore (but in a no-brainer way). Rooms were super spacious. Pools were perfect with beach right across if you wanted to swim there too. The resort itself was vast, beautiful, balancing luxury with relatively down-to-earth - it felt like living in a village with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. Loved the sauna/gym/pool, and the food was excellent as expected. Read less
