It was our first time in Bali and we traveled a long way so I did a lot of research on the best luxury resort for our needs (beach, food, service, location, cleanliness, value). The Laguna checked off all the boxes but the staff really makes this a 5-star experience. We were impressed with everyone we encountered, from housekeeping to gardener to security, pool guys and valet - everyone greets you and makes you feel special. The standouts among standouts were the Banyburu restaurant staff who remembered our names, our favorite tables, brought us special plates of fruit (Intan heard that I liked jackfruit so she had the kitchen prepare some for me and others also brought us treats) and always stopped by our table to chat. They were all great but I have to note Mang TD, Mila, Ade, Wari, Krisna, Ryanndika, Wari and Sukas who went out of their way to provide exceptional service. Angga at the belldesk was also so gracious when we were leaving. The location is outstanding - we were able to walk 7 minutes to the Bali Collection (there’s a free shuttle each hour too) for shopping and spa treatments and the white sand beach is gorgeous, as well as the many (7) pools. They provide entertainment each evening I think and we were able to walk along the beach path each evening after dinner (very safe). We made good use of the gym each day. We were on the half board plan (outstanding value with a dinner buffet each night) but there are also quite a few restaurants in the shopping center and along the beach. The food here is delicious with so many choices at the buffet for breakfast and dinner that it was staggering! Lastly, I’ve never seen a cleaner resort. The rooms, pools and grounds are immaculate. We’re glad we chose this resort among many choices and can’t wait to return!
