“Outdated Room, Excellent Amenities and Breakfast”

We stayed two nights at Paradise Hotel Busan. The room was clean and well-maintained, though it felt a bit outdated. We were able to check in early through Amex Platinum and Fine Hotels & Resorts, but did not receive a room upgrade.
The location is excellent — right on the beach and within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The hotel’s amenities are strong across the board. We tried the hotel’s Chinese restaurant, which felt slightly overpriced, but the food quality, presentation, and ingredients were all top-tier.
The BMW Driving Experience was a highlight. My child loved it, and the staff running the program were fantastic.
Pool access was good but nothing extraordinary. The pool is just like any other outdoor pool. Cimer, the hotel’s spa/pool complex, is essentially a series of warm jacuzzis — comfortable but extremely crowded.
The breakfast buffet is terrific — a true standout. Note: Amex Platinum guests appear to be routed to the Annex Lounge for breakfast, which is more limited. We opted to eat at the main buffet instead, as guests with children under 4 are not allowed in the Annex Lounge. The main buffet had significantly more variety and worked much better for our needs. My child loved the fridge stocked with various milk and soy milk products. There were some complaints about food quality below, and they weren't reflective of my personal experience.
While hotel staff were generally very nice, my experience with the concierge was underwhelming. They weren't able to handle most requests, which I thought were fairly standard. In the end, it was often easier to handle bookings myself.
Overall, this is a solid luxury property with a prime location and strong amenities, though service consistency could be improved. I would stay here again due to the variety of their amenities.

5성급 호텔이라고요? 20년+ 전세계 호텔경험 중 젤 별로에요. 부산에 한해서도 하얏트 조선 아난티 시그니엘에 비해 현저히 떨어집니다.
10시까지 조식인데 10시전에 시간이 다 되어간다는 이유로 입장을 막는 건 이해되지 않습니다. 테이블에 앉아 식사 중인 분들에게 10시 되자마자 나가라고 강요하지는 않잖아요? 애 수영 전 간단히 빵이라도 먹이려던 건데 황당합니다. 조식 2인 126000원 포함인데 10시전에 오분 십분 들어가서 빵 먹는 것도 안된다?
게다가 라운지 조식가려고 조식 물었을때 물었을 때 본관으로 손짓해서 그쪽으로 가서 괜히 시간만 더 지체됐습니다. 룸 넘버 확인이라도 했어야죠. 직원 응대나 소통 모두 부족합니다. 5성급이라기엔 부끄러워야할 서비스에요.
This was a truly disappointing experience for a so-called 5-star hotel. Breakfast was supposed to be available until 10 AM, but we were turned away before 10AM simply because it was “almost time.” Meanwhile, other guests were still sitting and eating inside.
Breakfast for two was even included.
Also There were many stains on the room wallpaper, and the sofa bed had noticeable yellow marks when unfolded.
Not recommended.

Be careful if you book through third parties including American Express Fine Hotels and Resorts program. The hotel will “upgrade” you to Annex building and have breakfast at the lounge (bad quality and limited selection) instead of the buffet restaurant at main building. Pretty dirty and nasty tricks for a five star hotel.
