“Unforgetable stay at the Village Hotel Sentosa”

Wow what a holiday to remember! My partner and I stayed at The Village Hotel in Sentosa this August and arrived on National Singapore day. Having arrived early in the morning before the official check in times, we had expected to wait a little while for our room. Once we arrived, check in had no queue and right from us walking in the doors we were greeted with a smile, our bags taken off us and placed straight into storage to be delivered once our room was ready. This allowed us to be bag free as we explored the surroundings whilst we waited. Our room ended up being ready an hour early which was fantastic after a long flight from the UK! I was planning to propose to my partner on our trip to Singapore, so I contacted Bella from the Guest Relations Team a couple months before our trip and asked if there was any way I could request a room with a nice view and if there was any sort of treat that could be done in our room on the proposal day to make it extra special. The reply was fast, and she really did go over and beyond; we were allocated a room on the top floor looking over the beaches of Sentosa where we could watch the wings of time show and fireworks from our room every night which was spectacular. When we first walked in, we had a welcome card and some macarons, and on the actual proposal night we were greeted with balloons, rose petals, more macarons and a personalised congratulations note which we were so, so grateful for. We absolutely loved our stay, our room was clean had all the amenities that we ever needed, all the staff were amazing and made sure our stay was extra special. There wasn't much storage locations in the room, however we made do with the luggage storage area in the corner and the areas under the desk. The bed was super comfy and spacious, and we didn't hear a single noise from any other guests the whole time or even the fireworks from outside which was amazing! We were also lucky enough to spend a night in a room at the Marina Bay Sands hotel, and whilst that was a very nice stay as well - the next day we were just as excited to get back to our 'home' room again. Breakfast was included in our stay with plenty of seats and delicious food available at any time of the morning and we never went hungry. We hardly had to queue for no more than a couple of minutes each morning - most of the time we were instantly seated with a friendly welcome. We had plenty of time by the pool as well. Whilst sometimes difficult to get a bed in the daytime (towards the evening there was always a spot) we felt more than safe enough to just leave our belongings to the side and know they will still be untouched on our return. Location wise, we were a bit sceptical at first with staying on Sentosa for getting to the main city, but this actually turned out to be a massive benefit! The queues to get off the Island in the evening and on the Island in the morning were normally quite long and were the complete opposite for us, so planning activities on Sentosa or the city in the day was super simple with no crowds. And returning from the city at night was always peaceful, which we loved. Furthermore, this saved us money as using the Sentosa Express was free and right next door to the MRT station Harbourfront which was easy to navigate. I couldn't recommend this hotel enough, for value for money, comfort, atmosphere and the amazing people that work here. We will 100% be back. Thank you again!

We stayed on Sentosa Island at the Village Hotel Singapore. We highly recommend to stay at this hotel. Staff and assistance manager were very helpful and made our experience very memorable. The gardens and the pool was magnificent. Couldn’t fault this hotel. Loris – Brian

“Wedding Food Tasting”

Our family attended our wedding banquet food tasting and had the privilege of being served by Mr Gunalan Kumar, Senior Banquet Executive. From the moment we arrived, Mr Gunalan welcomed us with a warm smile and was incredibly friendly, attentive, and passionate throughout the entire session. He made sure that everyone in the family was comfortable, paying attention to even the smallest details — from checking whether the air-conditioning temperature was comfortable to ensuring that our drinks were served at the right temperature. He also patiently walked us through the different options for our wedding banquet, including the tablecloths, napkins, and other arrangements. His experience really showed as he explained everything clearly and even shared some interesting and fun facts about the different menu items along the way. What stood out most was his genuine enthusiasm and dedication to his work. His warm personality made what could have been a simple food tasting session feel much more personal and enjoyable for our family. Overall, we had a wonderful experience under Mr Gunalan’s care and would like to sincerely commend him for his excellent service. Thank you for making an important part of our wedding preparations such an enjoyable one!
