It’s good as a hotel for families and the location is great. For context, we have stayed here a few times over the years as a family, for these reasons and the convenience of bring near the Em district malls which have supermarkets etc, which is helpful as we stay for quite a number of nights per visit. And the housekeeping staff do a great job.
The issues are:
1. The beds are hard, and it has been the case for years. We put up with it, but just so you are aware. The other reviewer who wrote about it recently isn't wrong. Don’t come expecting something fluffy and soft.
2. Don’t get the rooms facing the Mexican restaurant. The music can get quite loud until 10pm or sometimes after, which is a negative for families.
3. The walls aren’t very thick. You can hear your neighbours if they are a little louder. And being a family type hotel, you will hear kids from the next room if they’re a little louder than usual.
4. The rooms in one of the two buildings have decent-size kitchenettes, so they are akin to a service apartment, and there is a proper fridge. But that’s not the case for the other building. So be aware if you are checking in for your family.
5. The BTS station of Phrom Phong isn’t that near. And neither is Asoke. But they’re walkable. It just takes awhile, like 10-12 mins, so don’t expect younger kids to make the hike. Best to get a Grab to get around.
6. Use the Grab app to order stuff like groceries etc. if you’re a family and need your basics. Like milk or fruit for your kids. It’s really easy to do and the fridge in the rooms really help.
