We found the staff and location by the river make this hotel enjoyable.
- The concierge staff upon arrival at hotel were friendly, helpful and attentive.
- Reception checkin was friendly and efficient.
- As a Titanium member there was no suite upgrade.
- We could also chose 1000 points, an umbrella gift or breakfast daily downstairs. We were advised the club lounge is a 'continental breakfast only' we soon found out this is not correct. We chose the option of having breakfast downstairs & foregoing our 1000 points just in case we felt like a cooked breakfast. We only went downstairs once as we COULD have a "cooked" breakfast in the club lounge. Keep your 1000 points and have breakfast in the club lounge. We were provided with incorrect information upon checkin and our 1000 points should be refunded.
- One side of the bed annoyingly has no power points or usb connections, yet there is power for lights into the drawers. Small improvements to this would make it more comfortable.
- Fully carpeted bedroom.
- Alot of noise from the river, party boats etc. It's like there's a 10pm noise curfew when it mostly seems to stop.
- There's an annoying bright green flashing light on the bedroom roof.
- The curtains did not fill the window end to end so let light in, these need fixing. You pull them closed and they come away at the sides allowing light to tunnel in, in the morning.
- Housekeeping did a good job with keeping the room clean.
- Housekeeping were efficient when we called and asked for our room to be cleaned or something delivered i.e. The hair conditioner ran out whilst we were in the middle of showers & they promptly delivered a bottle. Thank You.
- Evening turn down service was inconsistent i.e. Some nights they don't come and we prepared for them to come.
- The hotel provides a complimentary shuttle boat for guests to Icon Siam mall and also to Sathorn Pier if you wish to catch the BTS (SaphanTaksin). The shuttle runs every 30mins with a break during lunch. Its a fantastic service and adds to the completeness of your stay, thank you. The team running the shuttle were always friendly and willing to lend a hand getting on and off the boat.
- The lady in the Kiosk on the ground floor was so friendly and welcoming.
- On the 3rd floor of the hotel there is a Lets Relax Massage branch. We both thoroughly enjoyed our pre flight back & shoulders massages and foot massage. To find it go to the low rise lift bank & press level 3. On the way back if you are on a higher floor 17+. Go in the lift at massage press level 17 as it's a transfer floor, you can get out on 17 and transfer to the high rise lifts to your floor.
- One day we returned to the room to see we had been delivered some treats. Yellow chocolate banana balls and dark chocolate spicy tamarind balls.. Aroy! Thanks so much we really enjoyed them both.
- Not much to see/do out the from of the hotel. In the River City centre next door you'll find a Coffee Club and 7 Eleven.
- Plenty of Tuk Tuks hanging out the front of the hotel.
Club Lounge
- There is plenty of staff in the club and the service by all the ladies on the floor was great including the friendly trainees. The friendly chefs were around during happy hour and were always happy to hear when we let them know the food was 'Aroy muk' especially the curry noodle soup.. yummy!
Special call out to: O, Rai, Susan and young lady Phan..... with the braces [sorry to describe like this] and lady from Bhutan, but so many others whose names we did not get. They all provide a fantastic happy service in the lounge.
- Evening cocktails from 6-8pm.
- We enjoyed the food and felt there was a good selection.
- There is No help yourself to Any drinks, including soft drinks during happy hour or any hour, only fruit juice. Staff come to your table about 10mins before happy hour starts to take your drink order & show you the menu.
- During the day you can eat cookies or fruit.
- Children are allowed in the club during happy hour, however they are asked to only sit in the dining area and not the lounge area overlooking the front view of the river.
- Whilst it's supposedly low season, there were nights and breakfasts where the club was so busy they had to open an overflow room.
