Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villa

Khao Lak, Thailand

Star rating

The hotel

You could be forgiven for thinking the Apsara is only for water babies, with its beachfront setting, infinity swimming pool, villa pool, two kids' pools, pool villa upgrades, water slide and of course, the obligatory Jacuzzi. But there’s more to the Apsara than sun, sea and sand. Set in unspoilt tropical greenery, along Pakarang Beach, this All Inclusive haven offers a range of drinks and things to do. There’s the Thai cookery classes, Thai boxing, spa treatments, bike rental and kayaking to name but a few!

There’s so many positives to say about Aspara Beach Resort. First, all the staff are friendly and happy to help, particularly Grace in the villa restaurant. We stayed during the low season , so happily sun-beds were always available. Pool temperatures were fine though out our stay. The food & drink in all the resort bars & restaurants were of high quality. We stayed in a pool villa , well worth upgrading if possible. We enjoyed a number of high quality, very reasonably priced massages within the hotel spa. The weather in August was a little mixed , but it’s is the rainy season in Thailand. The resort is a little remote, however taxis are quickly available and pretty cheap. Two very minor negatives which prevent me giving a 5 star rating. 1. None of the bars/ restaurants & communal areas have air conditioning. 2. Birds are present within the restaurants particularly during breakfast and lunch. During our stay the food was always well covered and the staff promptly cleared the restaurant tables. However, potential problem if anyone has a bird phobia. We traveled from the UK with TUI, the rep on resort was very informative and available. With TUI , we did the Eco Tour and the trip to James Bond Islands both were excellent and very good value for money. The local night market is also worth a visit…. Overall Thailand is a fantastic place to visit. Read less

We had an amazing experience at the Apsara resort everything and everyone (esp. Yudi) were exceptional although we were on low season from easy mornings to beautiful sunsets.

We stayed in Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villa, a couple, we had the best holiday and stay in the resort, staff are excellent, in particular Aum, but all the other staff members are friendly and pleasant. Villa’s are very clean, pool, beach and food nice. Highly recommended. Andreea

The Thai dishes were amazing as well as the steak and pizza's! Service was excellent and the drinks especially the cocktails were lovely. We used See Bees for diving as they had excellent reviews and we were not disappointed! We also did the Elephant Sanctuary next door to the hotel which takes a 5 minute walk from the villa side of the hotel. We feed and then bathed the young Elephant. The beach is great for long walks and sea is great for surfing! An excellent hotel with lovely, helpful staff! Highly recommend. Read less

This is our second stay at the Apsara. Once again, it was a fantastic holiday. We stayed with our 16 year old daughter in a pool villa. The food was delicious, loads of choice at breakfast in the Napalai restaurant, but food options were great at the beach bar and Kinaree restaurant too, and very reasonably priced. The villas are spacious, air con works well, good sized pool, villa cleaned every day. As so many other people have already said, the people who work here are fantastic and a complete credit to the hotel. They are from many different countries but they work together as a wonderful team. So many to mention: Yuda and Yudi the twins, Tee, Oil, Kew, and so many others. The hotel is situated on a lovely beach with surfing (surf lessons available from Memories beach next door), there's not much else around but it is easy to get to Khao Lak by taxi. Thank you for another fantastic holiday, and we hope to return soon. Read less
