Apsara Beachfront Resort & Villa

Khao Lak, Thailand

Star rating

The hotel

You could be forgiven for thinking the Apsara is only for water babies, with its beachfront setting, infinity swimming pool, villa pool, two kids' pools, pool villa upgrades, water slide and of course, the obligatory Jacuzzi. There’s the Thai cookery classes, Thai boxing, spa treatments, bike rental and kayaking to name but a few!

Private pool was amazing, take a dip to cool down whenever you want. Sleep was not an issue as the beds were super comfy. I enjoyed the outdoor shower! All hotel staff were polite, kind and welcoming. From front desk, restaurants, service to maintenance staff were more than happy to do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. Food in all restaurants was prepared with care and pride. We enjoyed sitting at the beach restaurant having a bite to eat while enjoying the view of the beach and sea. The hotel is located on a quiet end of the area in the middle of nature, very peaceful and beautiful. The beach in front of the hotel was well maintained and cleaned. The hotel offers a buggy service from the hotel to the villas ideal on rainier days. There is also a bus service for a small price to the Khao Lak center or market where you can find an abundance of shops, restaurants and bars. Highly recommended. Read less

The beds were comfortable, and the rooms had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming — always smiling and happy to help with anything we needed. Their warm hospitality really made us feel at home. Breakfast was a highlight each morning! There was a wide variety of options — fresh fruits, Thai dishes, breads, cereals, and even made-to-order eggs. Everything was fresh and delicious, and we always looked forward to it. The location is also perfect — peaceful and right by a beautiful, quiet beach. It’s a great place to unwind and enjoy nature, and still close enough to explore the surrounding area. We truly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. Highly recommended! Read less

We have recently stayed here for 12 days and would highly recommend it! We travelled with our 8 and 10 year old daughters. We wanted a mix of exploring but mostly relaxing family time. We had a villa which came with it's own pool. This was well worth the extra! Our daughters were able to swim anytime of the day (within reason!). The hotel itself… Read more

We had a villa which came with it's own pool. This was well worth the extra! Our daughters were able to swim anytime of the day (within reason!). The hotel itself has two main pool areas; one on the hotel side and one on the villa side. Both are very clean and maintained continously. The location is ideal being right on the beach. The sea is very wavey which attracts a lot of surfers which is great entertainment. There are also two gyms; one on each side of the hotel. Staff cannot do enough for you and are so polite. There is the option to do a free yoga class during your stay which is available 3 mornings a week. We would recommend this hotel to family and friends. Read less

Currently staying at the Apsara beachfront hotel and villa All the staff from reception to cleaners to waiting on are all attentive and courteous We are staying in a superior double room with garden view which is spacious and has all the amenities we need, the beds are really comfortable and the shower is powerful with plenty of hot water. We are all-inclusive breakfast is buffet style with plenty of choice lunch and dinner are from a set menu which has a good choice and has always been served hot and tasty. The grounds are well kept and full of the local wildlfe, the beach is amazing and it's been fun watching the surfers who are out every day regardless of the weather. We have also enjoyed the infinity pool which has plenty of sunbeds around it The hotel is a bit isolated which is great for us as we prefer a quieter holiday, but there are plenty of tours available from the hotel and locally if you want to explore further afield. Special mention for the elephant home which is a 10 minute walk from the hotel at the back of the villa side. Well worth a visit, highly recommended One cautionary note the mosquitos are lethal bring plenty of repellant and afterbite. In conclusion if your looking for a peaceful holiday to recharge your batteries and forget the pressures and worries of life then I can highly recommend this hotel. Read less
