A truly outstanding stay at The Sarojin. From the smooth airport pickup to the warmest of welcomes, everything exceeded expectations. The Jacuzzi Pool Suite was stunning, with the outdoor shower a particular highlight. Every meal—from Thai dishes at The Edge to the indulgent anytime breakfasts—was delicious and the service was exceptional throughout. We marked our wedding anniversary with private dining on the beach, which was unforgettable. The spa was among the best we’ve experienced—peaceful, professional and beautifully set among nature. Our tailored visit to the Elephant Sanctuary and local temple, arranged with real care by Khun Jack, was another highlight. The staff made our visit truly special—genuine, kind, and consistently attentive. Michelin got it right. The Sarojin is world-class. Read less

We arrived at this truly spectacular beach resort in the middle of a day of monsoon rains and thought we would be disappointed, but that was not the case at all. The room we had was spectacular, with an unusual double shower and huge soaking tub, a double sink, very comfortable king bed and comfortable chairs for sitting indoors and a covered gazebo next to our very private pool where we could sit even in the rain. Dinner in the Ficus restaurant is up to par with any very high-end western restaurant in a European city both in food quality and service. Though pricing is high for Thailand, it is very reasonable for the food quality and service level when compared with similar restaurants we have eaten in other places. The Thai cuisine in the Edge - the other restaurant located at the beach - was excellent and less expensive. Sitting and watching the ocean while you eat is a real treat. The resort specializes in tranquility, and it was a lovely respite from an otherwise packed vacation trip. We took advantage of two of the adventure packages the resort offers and both delivered more than we anticipated. Although the pricing was higher than we would have paid with Trip Advisor for similar adventures, we felt that we more than got our money's worth from both of them. The elephant washing adventure was one of the more fun things we did on our entire vacation and our hotel guide and driver were both helpful and attentive. We thought we'd get to spend a few minutes with the elephant, but in fact we spent over an hour with the elephant washing and playing with her and lots of time able to observe other elephants. The other adventure we enjoyed was a trip to the James Bond Island, which included much more than the island, including kayaking though mangroves and into caves, lunch and a tour of an island fishing village on stilts and a long trip in a long boat. The hotel guide for this was truly excellent and helpful and took great care of us. The Sarojin had a well-stocked library that supplied me with a great book to read during the monsoon rains, and when the rain stopped, we were able to enjoy the warm water beach and walk along it to restaurants, bars and massage huts on the beach (where you could get a great 1 hour Thai massage for about US$10. We had booked 4 days in the middle of a 4 week trip to Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam and it was the perfect place to relax, tone down the adventures that kept us busy throughout the trip and enjoy tranquility while still enjoying the area. Visited the Sarojin during my recent trip together with my daughter. It's a true hidden pearl. We loved the whole premises from the first minute onwards. We planned to stay three days but decided to extend our stay by another four days. The wonderful office manager June arranged everything and we got a very appreciated upgrade :-) What a treat! So in a nutshell: - Beautiful premises - quiet and no screaming children - generally classy guests - We loved the pool and the cabanas (the beach is quite nice but we preferred the pool) - Attentive and friendly staff - Very clean - Loved our rooms - Great food (even the pizza ;-) - Excellent breakfast - Massage: Very nice SPA with open rooms towards the "jungle". However in my case, the mosquitos spoiled the experience a bit. I suggest also to offer a closed room for the massage in order to keep those buggers out. - For the experience and quality the Saronjin charges fair prices IMHO - The toilet at the beach restaurant / bar could use a little renovation We will come back for sure! Best greetings to all the staff. You made us feel at home... Read less
