We spent 10 nights at Amari Koh Samui in a Two Bedroom Family Suite – Beach Wing. The room shows some signs of age, but overall, there was nothing to complain about. Just be aware that the view from this room type isn’t the most impressive. On a previous visit, we stayed “pool side” in the Thai Village, which offered a better room experience overall. The beach area in front of the hotel is great for sunbathing. For swimming, however, other parts of Chaweng Beach might be more suitable. That said, it’s perfectly fine for a refreshing dip – and with the pool located right by the beach, you have a great alternative just steps away. Breakfast is outstanding – truly nothing to fault. The selection is excellent and caters to all tastes. The staff go above and beyond to ensure a great stay. In particular, Pen made our experience extra special – always greeting us with a warm smile and genuine kindness at breakfast. Of course, all the other staff were just as welcoming and helpful. Thank you, Amari, for another wonderful stay. Read less

Another amazing stay at Amari Koh Samui! The hotel is better than ever with the new addition of the 3rd swimming pool, the hotel now have an impressive 3 pools meaning you’ll always find a quieter pool should this be your preference. A special mention to Noung and Zeed, they do a great job around the pool ensuring fresh towels are always at hand and cleared away, also serving guests with drinks and food around the pool. The room was lovely and very well looked after by the housekeeping team every day. The breakfast choice is second to none with a huge selection of options catering to all nationalities. Food and drink at Amaya bar was always delicious, more so with the amazing and friendly staff, everyone was super friendly but too many to mention every single person however, a special shoutout to Penn, Jimmy, Takky and honey, they really do Amari proud and a great asset to the team. Front desk staff and the porters were also super helpful and friendly, especially with assisting myself and my husband when I took unwell and had to spend some time in hospital, a special mention to Saowalak, Kit , pinkky and Beer, thank you so much for everything ❤️ Lastly thank you to the whole team at Amari, including the new manager Alexander, when I was sick the team went above and beyond with the care and attention they showed to me and my husband. We look forward to seeing our 2nd family again next year ❤️ Read less

The room was nice, we had an issue with noise which was nothing to do with the hotel, but they offered us a different room away from the noise, which they didn’t have to do. The staff are lovely, it was nice to see one of the breakfast staff that had been there eleven years ago when we last visited was still there and still smiling. Special mention to Oen, and Mia who makes excellent omelettes. Disappointed with the general state of Chaweng town, derelict buildings, rubbish just left there, a result of Covid, where business could not sustain the disruption. Read less
