Have just spent a week here Which we paid over £1000 for. The room contained among other things a straw beach bag which I used and took with me when I left the hotel. I believed it was complimentary and there was no signage to say otherwise. After checking out, I was waiting in reception when I was challenged by a staff member about where the bag was. I explained it was in my suitcase as it was complimentary and was in poor condition as I had used it all week. I was informed that I should not have taken it and they wanted it back. I was not prepared to pull my laundry out all over the reception floor so offered to pay for it. I was told it was not for sale. I explained that I was not opening my suitcases all over the reception floor so the woman went away came back and told me I had to pay 600 baht for it. So I paid. This was an outrageous experience which left me feeling humiliated and embarrassed. I do not steal things from hotels yet I was made to feel like I was a common thief. The bag presumably cost them about £2 in Thailand and yet they felt the need to humiliate me in spite of my spending over £1000 there. This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced in any hotel in the world. I emailed the hotel afterwards to describe this experience and received a reply, which basically said very sorry but too bad. So beware. I’m sure I’m not the first person this has happened to nor will I be the last

Beautiful pool areas and a stunning beachfront location. Spacious rooms and a very nice bar and restaurant area. The Voyager lounge was a very handy facility on our departure day. The proximity to the airport meant we were awoken at 6am each morning by air traffic and could not get back to sleep. The room, although spacious, was tired dated and dirty, with mould in the bathroom. Not of the standard expected given the price that we had paid. Breakfast was chaotic and the pool area was noisy and full of children throwing balls and using large flotation devices which made it very uncomfortable for others to enjoy. There was also no lifeguard present, which was concerning.

We had a fantastic trip. It was our 1st time here. We did an elephant experience and Mr Unfs 4x4 jungle safari. We also had a couple of massages.we did a cooking lesson and went to the traditional Grill, Fire, Gather night. The staff at Amari are very friendly and helpful. Especially Penn. We will definitely be back.
